We don't want none of you park home lot in Oxylers thank you very much!

But in all seriousness I can't believe they're stick Arcadia in the middle of one of the most popular camping areas. But should make other late night areas less busy

The map definitely had me as excited as the lineup, if not a tad more so. Kinda makes sense, I spend more time mooching about than watching bands it seems.

Bit concerned on the impact of the seemingly slightly reduced camping space. I was a new convert to Kidney Mead last year and would love to get space in or around there again..so here's hoping there isn't too much of a migration. We got there at around 10.00 on the Weds last year and there was still plenty of space, especially further back, but we watched it fill up quickly around us. Aiming for the same time this year, bus and queue allowing..

Isnt oxylers a massive flood plain? mty first year was 07 and that was a very wet one.

Other stage was watery mud pooled up to just the top of wellies, pyramid was sticky quicksand mud

isnt it flat ground next to other??

i had a few mates float away at bottom of pennards a couple of years earlier, apparently that was freak conditions though

Brilliant, thank you! (To both points)

I'm gonna try get over there on the Wednesday or Thursday.

Does anyone have any camping recommendations for me, based on the fact that my headliners are JP/Pyramid/Pyramid? Thanks.

I'm coming by bus and won't get there till about 12/1pm Wednesday, I quite like the look of Oxlyers and South Park but I'm starting to think I don't have a chance by that time? does anyone know any good substitutes?

I think the glade will be back in the trees - those strange rectangles don't look stage-like in any way and they did say they were back there themselves

I hope so anyway

Can't remember if someone answered earlier but Spike is the whole area with Arcadia in it

My wife's got map mad this year, she's printed this years out plus a 2010 version which she was scribbling notes on last night about the locations of the stone dragon, the piano bar, the tunnel under the railway track and other bits we always forget when we're a bit wrecked !

We camped really close to gate d last year, I think that's paines and it was great, hoping for a similar position thus year as it wasn't full until Friday morning last year

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
