Dolly Confirmed?

My girlfriend just told me that 6 music confirmed Dolly as a pyramid headliner for 2014. I think we all new that she would be confirmed, but in the legends slot. Not sure if this was what was actually said on 6 music, and it doesn't seem likely. But my girlfriend semmed pretty adamant, anyone else heard this off 6 music today?

Just did a Twitter search and it does appear that's what was said on 6music.

Could be a DJ with the wrong end of the stick about the rumours, could also be something they know. Who knows?

Yes but dolly wouldn't headline. I stand by what I SAID about Arcade Fire, as that was pre-reflektor. Reflektor changed my mind pretty much, it's success was quite remarkable and the fact it went #1 against some tough competition shows that they SELL here... something I wasn't so sure about when they headlined reading.

Of the recent legend slots she'd be one of the bigger acts to do it - on her tour next year she's comfortably playing much bigger venues than either Ray Davies or Kenny Rogers do. But Paul Simons and - especially - Neil Diamond are bigger than Dolly and they both played late afternoon.

I mean, if Kylie was set to do it? I'm possibly ignorant of Kylie's success mid-2000's, but it seems record sales count for nowt in recent years. As mentioned above, she's a household name, Sunday is usually the 'popular' headliner too...

i'd argue that she's bigger than all of those - she's a household name, and everybody knows her songs, even if they don't know they're her songs. she'll easily pull the biggest Sunday Legends crowd i think

In yesterday's Times it listed Gladtonbury as the must see rock/pop event of 2014 and said AF, Lilly Allen & Dolly were confirmed.
