Kanye / Florence / Foals imo

And for that reason........I'm out.

Wooah, the death of R&L festival right there, worst headliner trio probably ever.

Well this is awkward, I agree with gazza.

Thinking about filling my post-Glastonbury emptiness by grabbing a day ticket for the Friday. Lots of friends going and I'm very eager to see RTJ again. American Football I'd like to see too and while it'd be the fourth time I'd seen Drenge and Peace they always put on a great show. Anyone been just for the day before, what was your experience like?

And you'd be right too, it'd be that painfully bad that they'd be better doing a Soni and knocking it off. Flo would be decent though, like her or not she nailed her Glasto set.

I'm guessing none of them with the way they tend to change stage times every year recently

it's not worth going off any of them really.

I thought i'd go off the Mastodon not clashing with Metallica obviously but it had PVRIS and Wolf Alice clashing not cashing too which I'd think wouldn't really be possible.

Unfortunately, anything R&L doesn't make up for Pre-Glasto lol. I have yet to see RTJ though as went for a pint in The Avalon Bar before seeing TOY finally who had shit sound and were w*nk! - 2 years ago was the time to see them when I at least was in THAT moment. Kinda got into a bit of Peace recent.

Vince Staples, Lady Leshur, DJ Semtex and Bugzy Malone added to 1Xtra stage, The Ramona Flowers opening Dance stage and LMNT opening The Pit.

i have no idea how the timings work with all these smaller stages, but if Vince Staples could clash with Royal Blood that'd do me just nicely!

    • NIN and Bjork for sure 😉
    • When are  the stage splits ??
    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
