It's really not. Like it's the kind of crazy rad popular totally epic shit you'd throw on a Halo 3 montage back in the day. Are we going to book Skillet next?

It gets played on radio 1 loads, loads of people like it. So despite it being 'shit' they might get a high booking

Nope. You'll also find 1975 and London Grammar on the A List. it doesn't mean balls what they get on Radio One. They're a fringe band. Sail had its time and it's till Kerrangcore bollocks that should live at Download.

Listen to the album, they're not "Kerrangcore bollocks" at all.

Balthazar are my favourite band at the minute, any of you young pups know have they got any bigger since they got announced for r&l this year.

Main stage or not a chance?

unfortunately i doubt it, not much movement from them over the last 12 months in terms of popularity it would seem... They are great though!

Have you guys thought that, if these four are the actualy headliners, this is the earliest in a year that the headliners have ever been known? By some distance too.

Does that make anyone sceptical? I sort of am.

Neil definitely had The Strokes, Pulp, MCR and Muse down as TBC for 2011 late in 2010.

    • It’s probably fairly easy to stay in a hotel but I much prefer the camping set up. It was pretty quiet where we camped but a longer walk to the arena but the weather was nice so not a problem. There’s also a lake you can camp by. Once we got off the tube/train we walked down the main road and turned right (festival site is left) and camped down there.    Do you think? They do have water points inside the arena & where I camped there were toilets, showers & water points super close. I think if you time it right the RiP stage is so easy to get close to the front. Second stage is decent & a like the indoor arena for bands on the 3rd stage. I think all the stages sound better than Downloads too, always had issues with the 2nd stage at Download being too quiet. Even main at some points.
    • Interesting that they’ve mentioned Blink-182 in mail. Btw dates for 2027 are 10-12 June. Same dates as Mystic & Sweden Rock and most likely Download, RFP & Greenfield.
    • Scooter are a meme booking. The Chems aren’t viewed in the same way. They’re a serious electronic act, whereas Scooter has only ever been suggested (and now booked) because ‘LOL look how wacky us metalheads are we love silly music too’.
