High praise indeed, isn't too bad.

Did anyone seen Paramore on their last tour and have they bigged up their live show for headline status?

I thought the people who saw them on tour played down their chances.

Hopefully if it does turn out like that, Paramore on last at Reading for the TV, Queens on last at Leeds for me.

In terms of preformance we already know they are shit but I'm more curious if they have started adding lights, screens and other shit to their shows.

It would be interesting to see how they choose. I guess last time Pulp were Leeds because they thought it would be a bigger draw closer to Sheffield (and they could play the Northern Exclusive card). I can only assume that as Queens are the better band and Reading is the better site that Queens would close at Reading.

All we need now is jelly, ice cream & a clown and it will be a proper party.

And Cake! Don't forget the cake!

The plus side of QoSTA going on before Paramore, would be making it that much easier to avoid seeing Paramore and getting a decent place in the crowd. So I'm not sure what I would rather tbh.

Out of upvotes for mrtourette :(

I've 1+ his Kasabian pic for you.

I only posted the comment, not the pic. It has a life of it's own and attaches itself to relevant posts.

I guess it wanted to make a point about muppetmark's Paramore light show remark

I agree. I think Paramore will go on last at Reading, and QOTSA at Leeds.

Although the other way would suit me better, as I wouldn't mind seeing QOTSA, but I can't handle watching Paramore again.

But if you watch Paramore this time you can get a balloon!

Despite how reliable Lucky is I just don't think Melvin would be stupid enough to have Blink, QotSA and Paramore all headline at one festival. I just don't see it.

Why is that stupid? Are they all too similar?

Considering he booked The Cure I don't think he cares much.

What's your deal with The Cure?

    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never big the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
