Well yeah I guess that's what makes us the minority. I've been going to reading since 2005, so years on I do care about which bands headline. But you're right, a lot of people there wouldn't have been to 2010 so for them they are fresh. Although I pity society if kids born in 1998/99 listen and love blink...

So many of my friends love blink, hell they are one of the most liked bands out of my facebook friends. its sad.

Main Stage

Blink-182 Queens Of The Stone Age Arctic Monkeys

Vampire Weekend Paramore Foals

Weezer Bombay Bicycle Club Manics

Brand New Editors Jake Bugg

NME/Radio 1 Stage

Disclosure OFWGKTA BMTH

The 1975 Gallows All Time Low

Metronomy Jagwar Ma Jimmy Eat World

that friday mainstage is awful.

id contemplate a ticket though.

What do you think of this

Melvin on Blink-182 (According to BBC news)

"They are one of those perpetual teenager bands, they're brilliant," festival organiser Melvin Benn told Newsbeat. He said after their fourth time performing at Reading and Leeds, he knew he wanted them as future headliners. "
The excitement around them was immense, the audience was just huge, the performance was fantastic," he said.
"We said when they came off stage in 2010 that we wanted them back within five years. "It was one of them, where it was just about as easy as it gets to get it all sorted out."
I officially hate him.

Also about the next announcements.

The other two headliners have been booked according to Melvin Benn but we will have to wait until next year to find out who they are.
"I'd say the first week of February, we'll announce at least one more headliner and a few more bands and mid-March to go out with the rest of the bill."
Co-headliners hint?

No because they could announce two headliners in February and give out the rest of the bill in March.

It says 'the other two headliners' on the line above that too.

Yeah but they announced the last headliner in March. I think they will follow the same pattern next year. And they clearly won't say we have three headliners left until the official announcement because they probably wanted to leave it as a surprise.

But this is my thoughts only if that co-headliners thing is true. You could be right about it.

Could be that they only want to announce the headliner at that point. Melvin would give us a proper tease about something like that

The Black Keys are headlining Open'er Festival; possible sub under AM?

It's a fair bit before R+L mate.

Don't think so. I hope so but that's just a huge booking.

The Black Keys are not sub-headliner-sized act anymore in worldwide even if they are less famous in UK.

That's just not true.

they are still a sub in the UK

You're right. But I'm saying that it would be an expensive booking for sub-headliner. They should have used that money for decent headliner other than Blink-182 if they were willing to pay for better festival.

    • A few from last year.
    • Feels a bit too big/expensive and no new headliner which I think they will do with Deftones. Would be shocked if they didn’t book them. Korn, Yungblud &/or Slipknot for Ozzfest I’m thinking.

    • Having watched Linkin Park's Rock am Ring set I'd imagine they've used a different stage specifically for their light show, its insane
