He can do the first in the football thread.

He can do the first in the football thread again.

"Next round of acts coming in Feb. Any guesses?"

If it is Queens & Paramore I'd imagine they'd be announced in Feb.

I doubt its possible every year to make sure they don't repeat a headliner to soon (evidently), its like bands are supposed to disappear and be forgotten about once they have headlined a festival. People complain about the same headliners, but if any one else is suggested outside of the usual crowd, people start complaining they are to small...

It's a no win situation, so they put on any band which will shift tickets.

What if it's a band that have recently headlined and are outside of the usual crowd?

What's with your avatar jump?

It's a Hello Kitty guitar, whats more rock 'n' roll than that? Also when I changed my old one into the Starbucks avatar I forgot where I found it and can't be arsed to spend ages looking for something else.

I can find my usual avatar really easily.

If Queens do co - headline is it possible they could headline Belsonic, they usually share a sub act e.g. NIN, or would they be an exclusive?

I'd be very surprised if it had much of an impact, even us lot have rarely find a major lingering link between the festivals.

I remember they got Elbow in 11 (Belsonic) and when Strokes and Pulped co headlined + neither of the played, Paramore also headlined in 12 but QOTSA probably won't play I just want to see them play near my area

Only because you stole gazza's.

TBH I don't think the "exclsuive" tag means much now. If it is Monkess then that will be two years on the trot the headliners have done their own show aswell as R&L plus the shenanigans of Pulp's North England exclusive tag.

Foo Fighters played in Belfast just before Reading in '12 so I'm hoping QOTSA will be at other festivals in my area around that time as well

I know!

I'd like to say I'm surprised that the only comment made in the last 16 hours that I feel worth responding to is about supermarket preference, but that just wouldn't be true.

WHAT HAVE WE COME TO?

You can only suggest the same bands over and over for so long. We all know luckys source is more then likely correct and that other then that it'll be generic reading bands with maybe the odd exciting choice, so 2014s over. Supermarkets here we come.

Rocksound have put out their top 50 albums of 2013 and the top ten is ok for Rocksound

I've put the top ten if any one is curious to know

10. Balance & Composure - The Things We Think We're Missing

9. The Story So Far - What You Don't See

8. The Dillinger Escape Plan - What You Don't See
7. Defeater - Letters Home

6. Frank Turner - Tape Deck Heart

5. The Wonder Years - The Greatest Generation

4. A Day To Remember - Common Courtesy

3. Parmore - Paramore :banghead:

2. Bring Me The Horizon - Sempiternal

1. Letlive. - The Blackest Beautiful

Apart from Paramore coming 3rd and QOTSA coming 30th this list is not that bad

I've never had an issue with festival safety and I've seen loads of shit. The most notable crowd squeezes I remember in my life are pendulum in the nme tent reading 08 and noting hill carnival near enough every year. But if you walk the other direction to most people then it's fine.

I can see why the crowd would be dangerous for some, of course. But to be 'trapped' so you can't get out of a crowd for thirty minutes, then the whole Eminem set? Come on, son.

Where you there. Stop speaking about me if you have no fucking idea.

No but I've been in large 'dangerous' crowds before and gotten out of said crowd within two and a half hour hours. I wasn't trying to be demeaning, I was just puzzled as to how that had happened, so just calm down. Okay?

People piling in on either side coupled with the fact that dicks were trying to start mosh pits in an extermally packed area and the fact people on the barrier and near the front wouldn't help carry people to the front who waanted out... and the fact everyone from the back kept trying to push forwards to get closer for there hero.

Nobody could move forwards or backwards to get me out, lift me up to carry me out and i couldn't go backwards.

Only positive was i was stood with Jonas Gutieruzz (Sp?) the Newcastle United Footballer, nice guy would didnt even mind i was a Sunderland fan :D
