I think we're getting to the point where efestivals aren't as accurate as they have been in the past.

Not saying they are wrong but I think they took arctics off because they simply have nothing saying they are playing. Not that they've

Efests wouldn't take off the monkeys unless they were certain they weren't playing and they don't make too many massive errors like that. If there was a chance of them playing then they'd still be on there surely.

It's still early, it's possible the 'info' they had (they were only down as a rumour after all, which doesn't necessarily mean they had any inside info) turned out to be guff but that some other proper info could come up closer the time that leads to them being put on again.

Why? Nothing has even happened to prove them 'inaccurate'.

Could just be that the info that made eFests put AM down as a rumour turned out to be false, so they then had no info on them playing, so removed them.

It's not often that acts are removed and put on again though, I think they'd just leave them up. It seems to work (judging by the acts removed from Glastonbury in the past couple of months) that it takes more info to take a rumour down than to put one up. But we're just speculating about how they go about their work and frankly it's none of our business. :P

Glad to know you followed me around at the festival and were in exactly the same place as me so knew that i am actually just making everything up for a laugh.... oh wait you wern't next to me. Do not call me a lair.

And as for how bad i am making it out.. am i even making it out to sound bad? Where i was stood idiots made it alot worse then it should have been, i put no blame on the festival at all as im not sure how much safer they could have made it... however idiots trying to mosh when everyone was packed in like sardines and the fact people couldnt get carried out because people in the front row were more concerned with there Phones being trained on the empty stage then lifting people out is the only real problem... oh and the fact that Eminem is really really popular.

As i have said i saw one lad almost get trampled and a lady have a panick attack and i couldn't get out... that is all i have said (though TBH i could probably have got out in the last 30 mins but by then there was not point by then... for the majority i could not move!)... But what were the problems you have stated there were?

Do not call him a lair! He is not a lair!

So basically he was going to cancel the rest of Chase and Status and the whole of Eminem?

Because that would've made the situation a whole lot better :P

I don't mean to argue with yellows reply to this because he might rage again but I severely doubt this would have happened. There would have been riots.

It's easier to not have a band down as a rumour on a site then to have them for credibility. If their source isn't sure anymore then obviously they would take it down. It doesn't mean in any shape of form that they definitely aren't playing.

The only thing going against luckys source at the moment is the fact media statements have referred to 3 headliners overall....I don't remember if this happened in 2011 when there turned out to be 4 or not though. But he was adamant blink were playing and look what happened.

Asda stop trying to start fights gosh!!!

Haha! I just don't know where some people state things from. 38 broken ribs? Was that an official fact? I don't remember hearing anything of it. And how many festivals in the past have been cancelled for the rest of the day for being too rowdy? The band stopping for 5 so minutes and a warning is common but that doesn't mean the crowds are perfect after that, they've done what they can to try and stop it and the show must go on.

Are these media statements from anyone who would know there are 4 headliners, though? The only one I read was from someone like Zane Lowe (can't remember exactly who), who probably wouldn't know all the headliners at this stage, so is just presuming there will be 3 headliners, as is the norm.

Possibly, seems like a weird thing to just come out with if there wasn't some knowledge though

Hmm, doesn't seem that weird to me. There's almost always three headliners. Until Lucky said there'd be co-headliners, we were all predicting who the three headliners would be, so I don't think it's a weird thing for people in the media to assume.

and if they knew I'd doubt they'd be allowed to just give it away so soon

It wouldn't of happened.

I was at reading or leeds(can't remember which one) when the barrier buckled during SOAD before there hiatus. Security had to come out and reinforce the barrier, crowds are not even that bad anymore especially at r&l.

Just imagine the surges there used to be before they had a split right through the middle to help safety. Also crowds at Glastonbury before the fence went up were the most scary as it was thousands and thousands over capacity.

38 broken ribs seems a very scientific number.

I genuinely don't know what I would do if a massive riot to the scale that would have been would of happened at reading. Just ran.

I think my plan was to run in to the NME tent and wait for it to settle a bit as the exit from the arena would probably be a deathly crush; God knows what could have happened though

2013 Prediction

Mass Vandalism // Fires // Death

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
    • Beartooth? Or are they a bit to shouty shouty
    • May   1. Josiah and The Bonnevilles - As Is 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia’s Been Good To Me 3. The Coral - 388
    • That would be my dream trio based on bands that have been rumoured
