Gazzdaprice sounds better, or thewayiasdaprice.

Can't really fit Yellow_Fellow into one of those (Yazza_Fazza?) so I guess you win dude.

FML. I just re-read what I wrote. It was supposed to say GAZZdaprice. The one time I try to make a valid funny and even that goes tits up. Sigh.

And thefellowiam maybe?

Surely going from being that far down on the FR stage to headlining the NME is a bit too much, even by R&L's standards?

pretty much exactly the same thing happened with Alt-J

And whilst they didn't deserve it, they're nme headline slot was really good imo, especially when they covered a song from the "Drive" soundtrack :)

At the end of the day no matter who is headlining the main stage, there'll almost definitely be someone on at the same time that I'll enjoy even slightly.

I'm desperately hoping for Fat Boy Slim or Deadmau5 even though it's probably unlikely.

Trouble is, a lot of stages close earlier now.

Last year I was thinking it was the end of the night after I finished watching Lock up headliners Tomahawk, only to find Eminem hadn't even started.

(I'd been drinking for 12 hours so go easy on me over losing track of time, haha)

I hate The Blackout with a passion, but I did this weird thing called not watching them.

To be fair to him, it's a bit different hating a headliner with a passion then a band much lower down the bill. The atmosphere when watching a main stage headliner is magic if it's a band you love.

I don't think it is different. If a band you don't like is playing, whether it be top or bottom of the bill, just don't bother watching them. Don't be like, oh I hope they actually aren't playing etc, because there will be plenty of people who do want the band to play because they do like them.

Maybe he hopes they're not playing so it's more likely that a band he does like plays?

Do you think they'd work well on the main stage? It was fucking magical in the tent for them

They did a really, really good job at Truck this year on their mainstage. It was in the blazing heat, so the choral crowd bellowing "THE SUN, THE SUN, THE SUN, IS IN OUR EYES" was about as true as it ever could be. Eunoia & Big Think would translate so well to a big crowd.

I was gonna reply to him but it seemed so obvious and I don't want to stir more shit haha

With our resigned belief that we know the headliners, shall we start guessing subs rather than continuing to talk bollocks? Foals look likely but there's not any real consensus elsewhere.

I think it's become harder to work out subs since they stopped being vaguely associated in style with their headliner.

If not Foals, Vampire Weekend under AM?

I got a funny feeling that one of the could be 30STM which makes me scared at the same time

    • Not sure what this means for 2027 but it looks like Holt Farm's website and email are both now inactive and unavailable.   It'll be a shame if they don't operate for 2027 as it was an excellent alternative to the other off-site offerings.   Fingers crossed they're just enjoying their downtime 🤞
    • Deftones, Blink, Muse?   Deftones as the next bump up makes all the sense, Blink as the "band that has never played before" and round out with Muse as its been a long time since they headlined and they have a new album coming which seems on the heavier side from the singles so far.   I could see Muse do their own tour to be fair, maybe MCR in their place? Could also see Deftones switched out for Slipknot/SOAD depending on who is about.
    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)
