As of October-ish time The Strokes had zero plans to tour or even record with each other (hence why there are a bunch of solo dates being announced)

True, but Nine Inch Nails also said (or suggested, can't remember if they said it outright) they weren't releasing a new album. Could want to save the surprise. Also, as I said, they may not have planned to play live, but huge offers may change their minds.

I'm not saying they will definitely return live next year, I'm just making a prediction, as we usually get one or two unexpected subs.

They have said they will record a new album somewhere, so no surprise needed.

But yes you're right, money talks. However, if people are dismissing mumfords then there's no reason to not dismiss pendulum. I'd want it to happen and it will one day, but I don't think next year. Hope I'm wrong though!

I didn't mean a surprise album, I meant surprise live dates. I just used the NIN album as an example of a surprise.

I honestly think Kaiser Chiefs deserve a sub slot. It's a shame they'll probably not ever be big enough to do so again. I think they've got a great live energy and are definitely underrated as a live band in my opinion

dont think they are underrated as a live band just not really relevant any more. Otherwise on that logic I would have Feeder sub every time!

Doesn't matter how good a band are live for them to sub. They have to be big enough to do and Kaiser Chiefs are that big. Unless there new album makes them massive and R&L bookers can see into the future to know that this will happen as the new album comes out late March

I hope they play as low as possible personally... i know that in Leeds they will get a massive crowd so it will be fun and as a sub it would be a waste of a booking!
