Gnomicide
Booked tickets for Feis Festival in Libpool next Saturday. Looking forward to Therapy? and Van Morrison but mainly the grand finale which promises to feature Shane MacGowan but I'm not convinced he'll do much more than being wheeled out for a couple of songs. jump
I saw Run DMC last night and it was probably the nicest and happiest gig I've ever been too. They had the world beatbox champions open for them which was surprisingly really fun.

I would absolutely love to see them live, but songkick seems to think they last played Manchester 15 years ago Darryl is my go-to answer for "who would you most like to have a pint with, living or dead?", the man is just the absolute best of our species. I met Darryl last year as he's started his own comic book company which he was doing a signing to promote it. He was really cool and friendly to everyone there. Me and my girlfriend have an in-joke of going to each other "whose house" and replying "Run's house" from the song when we're having a tedious argument, so I asked him to write it her (as she wasn't there) and mention "Whose House" which he did even though it's about the other guy and he spent the next 2-3 mins asking questions about my relationship and being really happy for me. He's a fucking quality guy! I was abit disappointed he was wearing boots rather than Adidas tho. Edited July 6, 2018 by jump

Amy Lawn
Just picked up a ticket to see This Is The Kit as part of Manchester Folk Festival in a couple of weeks. Wish I'd known about this before all the decent seats went though.
The Nal
Only a few gigs coming up before Jan. Haven't seen most of them before though. Ry Cooder, John Fogerty, Parquet Courts, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats. Idles if I can get tickets.

Astroman
I had a couple of good gigs last week. Joe Gideon, Jim Sclavunos & Gris-De-Lin + Henry Parker at the Brudenell. They decided to make it a free gig so tickets were refunded, I spent it on merch. I also saw mclusky + Bilge Pump at Huddersfield Parish. Coming up: March 5th, Sex Pistols: The End is Near - Kevin Cummins in conversation with John Robb at Manchester International Anthony Burgess Foundation. I was at the Huddersfield Ivanhoes gig and I remember KC with his camera. 6th Altered Images at Holmfirth Picturedrome 11th Sink Ya Teeth at Leeds Headrow House 21st The Jesus and Mary Chain at Manchester Albert Hall

MrZigster
Stewart Lee next month. Jeff Beck (hopefully, see my post in the "annoy you" thread) and GnR in the same week in May. Derren Brown at the end of July.
charlierc
Current 2 bookings are Frank Turner in Aylesbury next month and The Killers in Manchester in May. Editors were considered but I'm not available now. I did want to go see a combo of Green Day and Foo Fighters in Milan in June, but current events have left me holding my horses. I also want a second hand ticket to MCR in Milton Keynes if I can land one and I'm also up for Beck at Brixton O2. As for other stuff, just gotta see who's about. jump
I was actually offered £2.50 tickets by a seat filling company for Editors tonight, I do actually like them but it's Friday payday so I'd rather go out drinking my mates. NerdsNatterings
Seeing Zuzu next week which I'm excited for, really gotten into her recently after seeing her support YONAKA last year. Also got Blossoms and Retro Video Club in March. Been quite light on gigs compared to what I normally have, so might see if I can find a couple of smaller shows to do

It was rather daft doing an arena tour.

charlierc
I did consider it but a week before I found of events more of interest. Though in practice I also felt a little ill, so that would've ruled me out. But I do agree that Wembley Arena and the Birmingham Arena seemed big scale, given their only sell out was tonight at Manchester Apollo. charlierc
I'm genuinely in two minds as to whether its too soon to book 2021 gigs with any certainty tbh. Hopefully it'll all be good.
