  4. I'd like to see him get a slot on the Pyramid. An afternoon knees-up would be a laugh and actually draw a pretty decent crowd

  6. A couple of days ago I read of a palestinian baby with cerebral palsy. Starved to death because he needed special food that he wasn’t able to get, couldnt tolerate other food. Yesterday I read of unarmed, shirtless hostages being shot by the IDF. Today I read of another airstrike against a refugee camp and of a lib dem MPs family trapped in a catholic church, with anyone leaving being shot by snipers. Is it okay to criticise Israel yet?

  7. It was a truly awful clash, but you can't judge anything about the chic set other than what it was like in the field and it was the biggest party I've ever been in there and I've seen a lot of great sets there.

  9. Indeed! 😄 Friday looks really massive for rap and pop fans. Very happy with Sofia and L'Imperatrice. And I would actually check Ice Spice live, haha.

  10. Fancy The Lottery Winners for an early Main Stage slot. Also I never want to read ‘Cench’ again 😭

  11. if you thought her performance was average no matter how many fantastic albums she puts out you wont want her headlining. thought she was excellent on the other stage and 2 top tier albums are good enough to headline. billie did, o rod can do it. also she gets glastonbury. check her vogue interview i think it was, she loved it and clearly has a soft spot for the festival.

  12. That someone can't really read spanish. The article says that if they end up closing that booking their initial budget will increase... (to reach a TOTAL of 23 million). https://elpais.com/cultura/2023-12-11/pearl-jam-dua-lipa-tom-morello-avril-lavigne-mad-cool-anuncia-cartel-y-promete-solucionar-la-masificacion.html Also, 23.000.000€ / 70.000 pax = 328,57€ extra per daily ticket to cover the cost. Stop doing drugs.

  16. From babies perspective, how cool to say you first went to Glastonbury when you were a few weeks old! They will be saying it's not as good as it used to be by the time they are 18 🙂

  17. It's certainly "doable". It just depends on how much of the festival you're prepared to sacrifice.

  19. I still think it's far too early for O Rod, she needs another album under her belt and I actually thought her Other stage performance was average. Understand they've got their hands tied a little and time running out but i'm sure they can pull in someone a little better than O Rod.

  24. Yes, I guess all those outstanding albums that crossed multiple genres released by her throughout the 80,90s and 2000s don't matter. Madonna could have stopped making music in 2008 and people would still clamour to see her.

  28. took my son at 7 month, sterilising bottles (in the tent) and a travel cot, he'd just started crawling and it was a very muddy one ('97) he missed being able to crawl. it was bloody hard work and might have been my least favourite glasto.

  29. Where do we go if Madonna actually is rules out though? A one-off Harry Styles show? Maybe Adele? Or a run-of-the mill headliner like Foos, Muse or The Killers? Edit: Just checked The Killers' tour dates, and despite being in the UK for about a month for 15 shows, they have an entire week off starting on the Thursday of Glasto. Potentially one to keep an eye on for an appearance. I'd be excited because they're one of my favourite bands, but would also be pretty disappointed if they headlined just 3 festivals on from last time. Would be buzzed if they did a Churnups-type set to promote Rebel Diamonds though

  34. Can't believe all this discussion about 2013 and nobody has mentioned the absolute wonder that was Portishead on the Friday night. Watching that Chic set back - it is extraordinary. But I don't regret my decision that night One of my favourite ever shows
