Yeah I didn't want to rub it in people's faces but aye I'll be seeing them at Primavera regardless  Their 2015 set there was one of the most fun times I've ever had at a festival so I'm really looking forward to seeing them again.

When it was probably between Other and Pyramid daytime slots, I don't mind if they pass and do more gigs in the UK this year, rather than every festival and fleeting gigs in total last time. Field Day's mighty tempting but if these big money gigs keep popping up I'll have to swerve.

Shame they've missed out on their biggest slot opportunity (potential WH/JP headliner) as I think their popularity will peak with this record and they'll slowly start to slip back under the radar again. Crest of the wave and all that. 

Thats not to say that I think they should, as I'm a massive fan - just how I see it panning out.

I wouldn't say they'll slip under the radar but I don't think they're gonna get any bigger than they are right now, or at least their newest album isn't gonna be the one to make them bigger. I love it and all but it's certainly not the banger-fest that RTJ2 was/what made them such rising stars.

I think after RTJ3 (or possibly RTJ4) they'll collaborate only once every few years and focus on solo album/tours again. They're smart enough to not run it into the ground.

Oof, this thread is a bit dramatic! I'd have said they look unlikely but then they're back in Europe in early June, so who knows? They really did seem to have a great time in 2015 and I even with Glastonbury's disappointing relationship with hip hop, I can't imagine they weren't invited.

Fingers still crossed over here.

Yeah it is a bit topsy-turvy. Friday Denmark, later in the weekend New York, back in Holland by Friday (before Glasto) so it's anyone's guess where they'll be on any given day they haven't a gig. Suppose that's a luxury rappers have, carrying their live setup onto a commercial flight.

El-P suggested on Twitter that the World Tour dates released so far aren't the only they'll be doing. I still hope they play Glasto, obvs, but there's a good chance they might add some more dates after festival season.

If I remember correctly when they last played they had a fairly ridiculous schedule, to the point where we ruled them out before the lineup?

I missed them in 2015 as they clashed with Motorhead and at the time I thought I had to see Motorhead as doubted I would get chance to see them again (Lemmy died not long after sadly) Although I made the right choice to see Motorhead, I was still gutted at missing RTJ so hoping they play this year and they will take priority! Love RTJ3 by the way although RTJ2 is slightly bettter, still both are fantastic!

I think, in the case of Gaslamp Killer, it's a DJ set. If it was advertised as The Gaslamp Killer Experience, it's a live show like Glastonbury had a couple of years ago.

I saw the European tour poster online yesterday and was very disappointed to see if was only the dates already announced.

I've got a ticket for sale for the Roundhouse gig next Saturday, off to Wembley the next day and can't really afford both and I'm seeing them at Field Day so I've decided to sell it to a good home. If you're interested let me know.
