Being at home and keeping across the live streams, it feels like a massive gap to headliners on ALL stages.

Assuming this is for some kind of crowd movement concerns?

Like an hour - 15 to set up for Doechii feels excessive on West Holts

I'm guessing no, which is a real bummer.  I managed to find an audio grab of the whole set on reddit though, so not a total loss.

Legend get this uploaded everywhere!

might be the reason the sets are missing, BBC are shitting themselves that the plod are going to be hunting the festival for those responsible.

theyll pur resources into this but they will not bother anyone with a nitrous canister doing balloons and also selling them. I love the priorities here. Drugs are essentially legal for 5 days in somerset.

Many thanks. Doesn't look as bad as expected by commentary?

It's pretty tiny, surely the smallest in modern history.

If you go back on the webcam time machine, you can see SZA had about 2-3x the crowd size last year. Using a "like for like" comparison, 10 minutes before hitting the stage. People said SZA was the smallest ever, so if that's true as a benchmark, this is the new worst attended headline set.

Will be interesting to see if Neil holds the crowd better, because I know a lot of people left SZA early. So he could still have a bigger crowd by the end of the set I guess.

Its because the set got  cut to 45 minutes and they have it start at a time where it will end at the same time as everyone else. Instead of maybe having her start sooner, play 45 mins and then everyone could go to SE corner or try for Charli. Theres still some crowd control stuff happening but its sorta bullshitty on a night like tonight where you now have 2 for sure rammed sets in Scissor Sisters and Charli.

I don't really understand why crowd levels are considered a sign of anything. Everyone says there is so much beyond the main stage and then proceed to judge the main acts by the turnout at the main stage . By that benchmark they may as well have Coldplay every year.

I get you, but to most of the world outside of this forum, the Pyramid is Glastonbury.

I don’t mean this to sound too harsh, but this set is going to get panned from the masses at home because he’s an 80+ year old man with not many/any big hits, playing to a very small crowd, on the Saturday night in the biggest and best festival in the world. Whilst Charli will be a party on the Other - like her music or not it will look great on TV. I would say it’s not a very progressive look (although they don’t really need to care I guess!)

It’s an indicator that the festival are booking the right acts for the times and putting them on the right stages.

I'll be honest, with no disrespect to her talent, it's bizarre she's headlining with forty-five minutes. Should have had her sub Charli.

i just wonder what occured when they put  the schedule out and had her with the longer set time which seemed perfectly fine. Then it gets cut in half. If it was an hour I wouldnt have thought it was the worst thing. 45 is pretty glaring onnthe clashfinder in comparison to everyone else

    • A name I didn’t think of. Maybe too big though. Think he’d go down very well despite being quite controversial.
    • Oh bummer, got excited then 😂   Although if I had read all the way down it would have been a bit of a give away, no other festival will book both of those 😂
    • I think the age of tickets flying out day one for a lot of artists is drawing to a close now, especially with the prices.   There will be exceptions of course, I was surprised how quickly Phoebe Bridgers sold out
    • Tbf they sold out the mainland European shows that follow this UK tour more or less immediately so I guess much of Europe will be stadiums for them next summer regardless and they might want to bring any stadium bespoke production here, even if it's just one night at a London stadium or whatever.    I like the new album and wanted to see them again but £150 for a standing ticket is ridiculous and all the sub-£100 price categories sold out. So you know, would like to go but guess I'm waiting for any last minute dropouts. Tbf I would hazard a guess of these 4 UK shows in November that more tickets are sold than unsold and by the time of the show it'll be, if not a full house, close enough.
    • I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility    It would feel like a bit of waste for their first set in the UK for 12 years be an hour and 10 mins as a sub    A lot of people will buy day tickets just for FNM
