I don’t even think there’s a forum for Benicassim anymore but there’s a list of names we can probably rule out.

 

I know festivals struggle sometimes but it blows my mind how much Benicassim fell off. That has to be the worst line up of the summer possibly.

A few big festivals went downhill post covid. Especially those who package it more than just the festival.

With €45 for three days it's still good enough. Times when for €100 we could get RHCP, The Weeknd, Kasabian, Foals and many more are long gone.

I think Benicassim went downhill even before Covid. They just started doing "just enough" to get British tourists to buy a ticket while on vacation

Yeah, doesn't look like Beni has exclusive clout these days. I remember when I first started going to festivals it was held in regard as a proper jewel in the festival season crown. 

 

My friend and I almost went the year you're referring to (2017) and the closest I ever actually came was having tickets in 2020. Got them early so for about £45 they had Liam Gallagher, Vampire Weekend, Foals, Khalid, The Libertines, Two Door Cinema Club, The Lumineers and The Hives. Could not believe they had all that for basically the price of a gig ticket.

I went to Beni in 2012 nd saw Stone Roses, Bob Dylan, Noel Gallagher, Ed Sheeran, Chase & Status and much more... The vibe on tht campsite was second to none, too...

Well, Beni was always supposed to be a sunny festival for the Brits, eh? La playa + live music. Even with much weaker line-ups, its promise lives on. And with obviously fewer Brits to come, they try to make the locals go with Spanish artists making up most of the line-up nowadays.

 

I doubt there's really place in the market for another big festival in Spain with Primavera and Mad Cool being as big as they currently are. BBK Live seems to have found their niche, Beni is trying to find another.

They have offered hotel packages in the past although these are separate from tickets.

Should be 9th-12th of July if it's four day or 10th-12th if it's three day.

 

They've had deals on with Iberia for flights from London in the past, but never bothered to look into that.

Some of these acts are now in excess of 100 Euro just to see by themselves.

It’s not common but it has been known. In 2022, I believe The Killers and Placebo played them both

Did you just use common sense on anything that Mad Cool does? They always had the most unpredictable social media communication strategy. To put it nicely.
