 Having been to Werchter and WOW last year, this review also helped me. Mad Cool has been on the to do list for a while.

I had worried after the venue change about the travel to/from festival and the site itself, but sounds a lot smoother/nicer now.

I think they've worked out a lot of the kinks. The late night Metro back to the city center now works much better, with no long lines to get into the station. And they've figured out that they need to have toilets and water fountains all over the site, not just in the center. There are still a few issues, like the food lines can be unreasonably long and crowded together, since all the food vendors are packed into the same small space.

 

But overall it's a very well-run festival, with 6 stages hosting a lot of different music, but all so close together you can easily get from one stage to the next. I also appreciate that there are no clashes or long breaks between the main stages. As soon as an act ends on Stage 1, another act starts within about five minutes on Stage 2 (and vice versa).

Bit of a long shot, but I'm interested in tracking down a girl I met during Block Party... She lives in Cardiff but I think she's from Devon, and we were on the right side looking at the stage. If anyone has any clues lemme know! My phone was dead and I can't remember her name due to the beers I had been drinking all day

Most of the foods (at least the ones I ate) were 12€ and the cup deposit was 2€ (of course you only had to pay it once).
