Liam did two, so i can see Oasis doing three. The demand is clearly there. I suppose it depends on how many nights the plan for the Etihad.

Well in terms of tickets on this current run, they've  just done 17  sold out UK Shows ( 2 in Ireland also) and then you think of all the people that missed out on tickets and were trying desperately for them, even touts can't get their hands on them. I'd say a huge percentage of those that have seen them on this recent tour would get tickets again,  I wouldn't be surprised if 10 shows got announce for both Knebworth and Etihad, not sure how realistic or feasible that is.

I think it'll be 2026 for the 30th anniversary if Knebworth 96. And I think they'll do 4, to retake the record from Robbie, they could fill 4 nights easily, maybe more, and any Etihad dates... For every person attending this year, there's 3 that couldn't, and let's be honest, most of us that have attended will be back in for tickets next year.

Hell, I'd do multiple nights if the tickets were available...

Yeah, it'g got to be at least 4 and could well try higher to set a stupidly high bar for other acts.

I do wonder will they announce Knebworth and sell loads and then announce some Eithad dates and then go on hiatus.

If they did Knebworth and the Eithad I’d definitely try for both …. got a great big Glasto shaped hole to fill next summer!

I've just realised...

Knebworth Robbie record is officially... "Largest UK attendance for an outdoor concert held at a single venue: 375k" isn't it?

Heaton Park

Fri 11th 80k
Sat 12th 80k
Wed 16th 50k
Sat 19th 80k
Sun 20th 80k

Total: 370k....

They were agonisingly close, if it weren't for the Wednesday cap. 😞

(Is that Weds cap even confirmed to be 50k? I know that a lower cap was confirmed, but is the actual number confirmed, because I've seen nothing official.)

Edit: I've just had another random thought, has this record not been surpassed by Taylor last year? Didn't she do 8 nights at Wembley?

I read an interview with John Robb who asked Noel why not 8 nights at Wembley , given the ticket demand was easily there. He said ‘5 is enough’ . Maybe they won’t rip the arse out of it? Maybe they saw the Roses absolutely dilute the whole thing and don’t want repeat that.

That record has been broken several times over by now (if it ever was really a record - the Michael Jackson world tour in 1988 would likely have done more).

As well as Taylor, Coldplay and Take That have beaten it recently.

Count the people on Gallagher Hill and they've taken the record! 🙂

Was about to say Coldplay are doing 10 shows at Wembley which is 900,000.

Yeah.

By the end of the summer, they'll have that particular record (and by a mile).

Wembley is counted as an indoor gig.

That makes sense. I think you're right, arenas and stadiums don't count. In much the same way that Glastonbury is the world's biggest 'green field' festival.

Lots of sources are quoting the Robbie record as still standing to this day.

If stadiums don't count as outdoors, then it's a nonsense "record" tbh.

If I'm getting rained on, then it's bloody outdoors.

For many reasons already mentioned, as well as the ones you point out, it's definitely a very nonsense record lol... Was it ever spoken about as a record before Robbie 'took it away?' I presume it wasn't, and is just a record invented to help sell papers by hyping up the tiff.
