I'm guessing there's still no word on an Oxfam "resale" of returned Glastonbury positions? Is anyone else beginning to wonder if there'll even be one? They've normally been and gone by now...

Wouldn't have any doubt that *something* happens.

 

The only question marks would be over whether it gets pre-announced, how many places, and how close to the festival.

That's great, thank you for the reassurance! In that case, I will just keep a close eye on things and keep rechecking the online portal to see if new places open up.

I know people who got Oxfam as late as days before. 

 

Just check the site all the time. 

 

The likelihood is there is so few they can not do any official release. They just pop up places every now and again and first to spot wins the prize.

Is it just a case of checking the drop down list until the Glastonbury option doesn't say sold out? Even if you haven't done previous Oxfam volunteering? Thanks

Anyone in here got any inside info on where Avalon's new campsite will be? Apparently still "in discussion with the festival" about where exactly it will be. *Prays to the festival Gods that it's nearer a bloody car park.*

The old one was right next door to the "staff long term parking" parking, which is where a lot of people I worked and camped with were parked last year (so, long term my arse, unless they'd managed to blag their way in before the Tuesday I guess). Bet they'll be annoyed by the move.

 

Hopefully in a quiet spot after having to put up with the doof doof doof from the SEC all night for years.

Some (completely unverified) person on FB said "near Vehicle Gate 1".... there's a 'Village Guest' car park up there that could be re-purposed? And I guess that's fairly near Oxfield too?

Oxfield is near Blue Gate. Tom’s field is nearer VG1?

I've tried setting up Distill but it doesn't seem to like the Captcha on the login page so keeps erroring - is there a way round this? Obviously I'm not expecting full instructions seeing as we could be in competition with each other for what could be very limited places 😛

I managed to do it a couple of year back, by logging in before you start the monitor, and refreshing often enough to stay logged in.

This was too variable on the stewards you met en route. I got in it 2023, but was sent up the hill to purple in 2024.

 Yeh I saw this but was hoping someone in planning might know! I reckon the gate C site has been gobbled up by the extension of the glamping.

Log in, then set up the alerts from that stage and leave the laptop on checking every 5-10 mins is the only way. Stops you being logged out

Last year they saved up the spare places and gave preference to people who volunteered to steward at Shindig, which they were struggling to fill. So they might do that again if they have any festivals which are short of people.

Kind of  Shindig came on with very little time to fill it much later than the rest of oxfam festivals places were released.. Felt like maybe Shindigs plan A for stewarding fell though so there was a scramble to get it stewarded.  

 

I actually worked it even though I already had a Glastonbury place and there was lots of people that jumped on it. 

 

It was muddy as f**k.
