LS-Charlton
I’ve never experienced a sale like yesterday where myself, none of my friends and none of their friends managed to bag tickets. The question has been asked a few times already, is the jib still possible. This is serious post, if anyone knows of any legit ways in please feel free to send a DM. I know of one method that comes at a financial cost, if anyone has any connections please let me know.
stuie
There is no longer any way to jib into Glastonbury Festival, so there is no point in trying. Good luck in the resale and/or 2025. Kind regards </thread>
LS-Charlton
It wouldn’t be my choice of doing it but i saw a group get over the fence by Arcadia. There’s definitely easier ways of doing it and people still manage to do it each year.

Of course it's your choice. You can choose to try and jib or you can choose not to try and jib. You should choose: Resale Volunteering Other festivals

GoonerRob
There were absolutely loads of wristbandless scousers this year (I saw about 30 of them on the way out on monday morning holding up their bare wrists at gate D on their ay out for a photo). Dejalves
While working on gate A last year I had two youngish looking guys sprint past me and up the hill (giant bags on back and everything). Unfortunetely for them one the security turned into Jason Bourne and removed their security hi-vis, stalked them into the festival, bided their time, grabbed them once they got comfortable and chucked them out.

Yoghurt on a Stick
One of my brothers somehow stuck himself to the back of an ambulance that was heading into the site. The gate opened for the ambulance, and he was in. Oh, nearly forgot - what is 'jib' in the context first mentioned above? I haven't got a clue. If you ‘jib in’ it means to get in for free by nefarious means. Commonly used when getting into any event without a ticket. Be that sneaking in, rushing the doors, climbing over a fence etc. think euro 2021 final at Wembley when all those idiots broke in to Wembley stadium and England had to play a closed doors game as a result. faymondo
Funny enough in Liverpool "Jib" means not to go. EG "Shall we go the pub" "Nah jib it" (No) or "Nah I'm jibbin it" (I'm not going) So from my point of view deffo jib it and On 11/20/2023 at 10:21 AM, stuie said: You should choose: Resale Volunteering Other festivals
she bangs the drums
Haven't lots of people already jibbed in by using backdoor links, and creating massive groups of people cornering the market?!.... 1

Those that want to will try anyway. Exposing the ways to do so on this forum that the festival definitely read is the best way to stop it if you wanted to. Attempting to break in has been a part of the festival for decades, almost encouraged by ME at times.

Yoghurt on a Stick
It's odd that across the country the same word can mean the polar opposite.

Fair point, though I'm sure some people who are considering doing this are people who would happily pay to get in, though are frustrated at some of the things they have read and seen happen on Sunday. I wasn't successful for the first time since 2010 myself, though wouldn't try to get in for free, I'm just hoping it's more a level playing field in April. Similar for me, got chatting to security at gate C. They absolutely love it, gives them something to do. There's also undercover security inside that the gate staff radio through descriptions to. Yoghurt on a Stick
Just now, GrumpyRaver said: Loads of people bought tickets. That's what I thought. However, the root of the question is whether nefarious means were used* * I guess that technically depends on one's definition of nefarious.
