Radius clause and sometimes first rights. Obviously a bunch of fests have to follow Coachella's lead and announce right after. Then Lolla and the rest have artists touring through their respective cities through March and you gotta wait. There will be smaller events that drop in Feb but arent of any consequence. Thats been happening already. Warped Tour is at the end of Jan and are sort of an outlier since its not poaching much from anyone.

Thought the timing was as much anything given these festivals announced have been in May-time while July-October ones come later.

 

Saying that European festivals seem to just announce everything all at once so maybe there's a difference in such an approach with the calendar split.

A while ago the Evening Standard newspaper was claiming she was going to repeat the Renaissance Tour with a 5 night stand at the Tottenham Stadium in London.

seems like it. Theres a couple of U.S dates that popped up too. Im sure there will be more coming. If she is just waiting a week then it tracks that some stuf surfaces. I havent deeped dived into it yet to see if theres been more info though.

isnt it great how we all differ ... shed be a massive upgrade on any of the current 3 names mentioned for me ... thats also why the festivals so good with a shed load on offer ...edit also not the biggest fan of country

I completely agree, country i can handle, Americana like Jason Isbell and more well known Chris Stapleton. All tastes acquired by osmosis.

 

Beyonce, her voice and warble isn't for me. Powerful, successful and influential woman, but doesn't do it for my ears. 

 

100's of alternative stages though!

If the rumour is that she's doing stadium dates, and indeed that she hadn't really been a strong rumour for Glastonbury until now, then yeah it would be a surprise to see Beyonce make it to the farm.

Agreed. I'm all for artists doing different things and not just churning out the same thing over and over, but at the same time that album was just....nah.  Just didn't feel like a natural fit for her at all.

One of the few headliners I'm gutted not to have seen, but getting married took precedence that year! 😂
