And GM in 2019?

as in, they were booked to headline EOTR in 2020 and never did, and EOTR have gone on to rebook all the other previously booked 2020 headliners (2022 Fleet Foxes, Pixies. 2023 Angel Olsen). So feel like they're likely going to return to fill the slot they once signed on for.

Do we think the Pixies are small enough now to headline? They've continued to downsize the festivals/slots they play for the last couple years. Whilst I think they lack a certain kind of charisma/showmanship on stage, their back catalogue would go down a treat I reckon. When they played Cardiff in 2016, they blasted through all their hits without saying a peep.

They headlined EOTR last year which is a smaller festival, and BlueDot a few years ago which was comparably sized. Can't see any reason they'd be out of the reach of Green Man if the bookers were motivated to make it happen.

Pixies playing Piece Hall, Halifax on Wednesday 21st August. Not a guarantee with those few days in between but presumably in the running.

Think there's a very good chance of them being a GM headliner. They're not going to be playing Paredes De Coura and almost certainly not Pukkelpop on the same weekend. Can't see Lowlands booking them either. I can see them playing La Route Du Rock and GM that weekend.

Can anyone suggest the best way to get hold of a live in vehicle pass (normal, not settlers)? They were all gone by the time we got tickets.

Keep your eye on Twickets and Fanticks nearer the time, or book a campsite and shuttlebus in every day

Some good shouts up there. If I wasn’t going to GM I’d definitely be considering Rock on the Seine. What’s it like? Anyone on here been?

Yeah I’ve been. It’s a city fest (it’s in a massive park but no camping) and I wouldn’t say it has a killer atmosphere but it’s well organised. There’s not loads there outside of the music, kind of a ‘turn up at 7pm after a day in the city’ kind of deal.

I had some bloody brilliant (and reasonably priced) French cider and saw a transcendental Nick Cave set so overall definitely a good time.

The lineup looks banging this year so if you want a little city break with some great gigs as evening entertainment I say go for it.

Thanks! Might have to be next year though, as this year the budget and timing won’t work for both GM and ReS for me.

What's the latest betting then?

Pixies 3/1?

Lcd s 11/1?

Smile 7/1?

Pj har 15/1?

SSufjan 17/1?

I've no idea how the following are fixed but would love to see on the bill: Oh sees, Nick Cave (in any way), Dry Cleaning, viagra boys, parquet courts, dreadzone, nadine Shah, lovely eggs, John cale,

But this will be our 5th GM and you learn to trust the process...

Little Simz is too mainstream for Green Man imo And Lafourcade is really big artist, I would be highly surprised if they could afford someone of her caliber. The Ezra Collective is playing at another festival during Green Man

    • Sabrina I actually think is alright, but as an overall thing including Fontaines in the mix it does look very boring.
    • I went to the O2 show as had cheap NHS tickets. I did love the whole Machine Gun Kelly vs MGK Emo/Pop Punk stuff amusing and could see that show going down well. I thought it was so funny watching the video skits of a die hard old skool fan gradually morphing in to an Emo Kid. That show with less old Machine Gun Kelly tunes and more MGK Pop-Punk would be ace.   Pair him against a heavy act on the other stage and jobs a goodun,
    • Not sure if this is allowed, but I have an additional daily ticket which I’m willing to sell for a heavily reduced price. If you, or someone you know wants to go that day, but wouldn’t for the original price, let me know.    Edit: It’s for Friday
    • Couple of standing tickets left on ticketmaster if anyone is still trying
    • Choosing  I think boycotting a festival you would usually attend simply because you don't like one of the acts is pretty petulant to be honest, just go and watch a different stage. There are plenty of the usual slam dunk attendees who would be into him, as well as attracting new festivalgoers too.
