Plus Lana is there and they have Snow on the Beach song together. So it's not impossible but the chance is near to 1%. And then again if that would happen, I don't think the necessity of Primavera announcing it, imagine that due to her schedule she doesn't show up, there will be a lot of Taylor Swift fans mad about it. And yes every year there's a rumour like this about any artist, I agree about that.

Yeah, like last year the Skrillex / Fred Again / Four Tet set that never happened - and all of them actually were on the poster.

But why would she do that instead take the time off that is super needed in a tour like that?

If we want to speculate about new names/surprise sets and have some fun, let's pretend that the existing lineup has already hinted at the secret theme for 2024 which is mirrored act names!

Pulp and Slow Pulp

Gel and Silica Gel

Aya and Eye

Chelsea Wolfe and Wolf Eyes

Therefore, the secret acts/still to be announced acts are surely:

Blondie (Blonde Redhead)

ANOHNI (ANOTR)

Ash (Phoenix)

Paris Texas (Mandy, Indiana)

Mos Def (Deftones)

Channel Tres (Channel One)

Pull Tiger Tail (Balming Tiger)

They could call it “I’ll be your mirror”

Rock in Seine (not the richest festival in the world)made the lineup I dreamed of here, that's all

22/08 : Maneskin, The Hives

23/08 : Fred Again, Jungle, Olivia Dean, Soulwax

24/08 : Massive Attack, The Offspring, Blonde Redhead, Inhaler, The Kills

25/08 : LCD Soundsystem, PJ Harvey, The Smile, Roisin Murphy, Zaho de Sagazan

Strong last day otherwise nothing special for my tastes and will have a feeble undercard.

Would like to have Massive Attack and LCD, the rest is quite meh, then there’s also The Smile that would be quite repetitive tbh. Overall it can only compete with Primavera in therms of headliners and still cannot win.

to be fair, this is a lot later than PS so their undercard is yet to be filled. The headliners are really good, even though Maneskin is maybe the worst act that you can currently book and The Offspring are terrible live.

I meant going off the experience of the last decade plus, the undercard will be underwhelming (they only have 3 proper stages after all).

Yeah, I think no festival can compete with Primavera undercard, we can already close the competition in that area. In terms of headliners and second line names, as I said before on Coachella and Glastonbury have the money power to bring unique names, but usually they are too commercial for my taste. And in this case Rock Seine has Maneskin and The Offspring that I despise, Fred Again that been touring so much that I got tired of him. The best names here are without a doubt Massive Attack and LCD Soundsystem. I would like to have LCD Soundsystem but maybe we some new material. Massive Attack I think Gabi was quite sure he would get them but something did not work at the end, so that's the name I regret the most. And then The Smile is not a headliner name. So overall Primavera is the best lineup.

Bit early to judge the undercard as feeble - last year they added Boygenius, Christine & The Queens, Amyl & The Sniffers, L’Imperatrice, Romy, Bonobo, Viagra Boys, Ethel Cain, Gaz Coombes, Altin Gun, Brutus, Young Fathers, Overmono etc etc etc way after the initial announcement. Most of which are far better acts than I can find on Primavera 2024 Friday or Saturday of imo.

Were The Smile booked by any Spanish or Iberian festival? Cause if Primavera didn't get them, then who else? They don't look like a Mad Cool booking, and BBK could've announced them if they wanted to. So that's weird.

Cala Mijas maybe? They had some similar stuff this year and could cover Portugal with PdC or Kalorama.

Undercard means different things to different people. For me it's everything other than the headliners. And Primavera with its 15 odd stages inevitable goes much deeper than a festival with 3 or 4.

Do agree those are very decent names and feeble was too strong a word.

Do you think jai Paul and Clipse will play early main stage or 3rd stage opposite to the headliners? If you go for the second who would you see playing before LDR/the national? They will be relatively late, given that only disclosure can play the 2.30/3 am main stage slot

I think they both (especially Clipse) play later at RayBan/Amazon to counter Lana and Ntl. Honestly to me Clipse kinda feel like a headliner though

J Baldwin has just announced his European tour.
barcelona 28th May.
he played PS few years ago. Not my cup of tea at all.
just wondering if he’d do a city gig for PS. But probably not. He’s more like Palau San Jordi or even stadium.

Yeah I mean the timings would work for sure. But I also think he's too big for ciutat venues. I'd be interested to see though cause it could be cool and unexpected... I wish they would annonce the ciutat gigs already
