  1. I've never tried for ticketed Ciutat shows before - can you get multiple shows on one main festival ticket/account? On that Sunday I would love to see Model/Actriz and Mandy, Indiana then pop over to catch WFYE and Dorian Electra, but I don't know how viable that is.
  2. I did both weekends last year and by that last day I was absolutely exhausted, completely destroyed 😅 Jessie was amazing but I'm not sure I could have physically made it over to Ela even if I had wanted to, I was glued to sitting on those steps. 🤣
  3. Honestly, the only acts on that Sonar lineup who I wish were at Prima are Jessie Ware (always amazing, slayed in 2022), Marie Davidson, and Ela Minus (who keeps having to cancel every time I book something with her on the lineup!).
  4. If we want to speculate about new names/surprise sets and have some fun, let's pretend that the existing lineup has already hinted at the secret theme for 2024 which is mirrored act names! Pulp and Slow Pulp Gel and Silica Gel Aya and Eye Chelsea Wolfe and Wolf Eyes Therefore, the secret acts/still to be announced acts are surely: Blondie (Blonde Redhead) ANOHNI (ANOTR) Ash (Phoenix) Paris Texas (Mandy, Indiana) Mos Def (Deftones) Channel Tres (Channel One) Pull Tiger Tail (Balming Tiger)
  5. Might have been an off day for her, she was very good at Bluedot last year. Lots of energy from her and the crowd were up for it (she was a good match with Kelly Lee Owen who was next).
  6. To summarise this thread since the lineup came out, there have been four main type of post: - This lineup in underwhelming, and I preferred 2018 - This lineup is quite good, and I enjoyed 2019 - It's a shame Massive Attack/The Smile are missing - Wow, that Sofia Kourtesis album is brilliant For those in the last camp, having seen her live, I can confirm Sofia is an all around delight and we all have a lovely time with her at the Forum next year.
  7. Interesting. I was wondering cos she's got that indie-ish cred now, and we all know how much Primavera loves The National, so she'd only have to bring some of Folklore/Evermore along to fit in!
  8. I know it's 99.9% not going to happen, but could that 1 June gap in Taylor's tour (Madrid on 30 May, Lyon on 2 June) be a Primavera headline slot for her, never mind Paramore? Obviously we know she's not doing Glastonbury which makes any festivals unlikely, but Prima seems like one of the few which has the size, cache and perhaps cash to try? Spanish people, is it strange that she's not doing a Barcelona show on her regular tour? It looks like an odd omission (unlike, say, missing Manchester cos she's doing Liverpool just up the road).
  9. I think I'm definitely coming back but not next year, partly cos I want them to get the logistics of BCN/MAD practised and polished before I go again, and partly cos of life stuff meaning I'll have less money next year. I'm not doing a two weekend festival again tho, I'll be nearly 40 by Primavera 2024 and I might disintegrate. 😂
  10. Jessie Ware as the last act of my festival was a true diamond. She's fabulous. What a glorious set
  11. I'm seriously considering only going to see YYYs and Jessie Ware tonight. I'm exhausted and my feet are two planks of pain. I can't drink alcohol, so it's not a result of overdoing that side of the fun either, I think two weekends in a row is just too much. 😅
  12. Your second paragraph is the problem. Trust me, I work in healthcare sector intelligence, and the way to get people to do sensible things in a pandemic is to be very very unsubtle and repetitive in your messaging. I've been truly delighted to see the Metro here is 80-90% masked at all times, but that seems firmly built on consistent and good messaging. Primavera just didn't have that with regard to the shuttles (and many other things). You have to make everything so so obvious, especially with many intoxicated people. And I say this as someone who knew the rules, had my mask at all times, and wishes the UK had done many things differently in the pandemic (a whole other issue, not for here).
  13. We were surprised they were enforcing the mask rule on the buses, don't think they did on the three other nights we took the bus. We got talking to some women who weren't allowed on cos they didn't have masks - they'd queued with us for about 30-40 minutes and in that time no one was going up and down the queue telling people masks were mandatory. Wasting people's time there, especially when the rules were inconsistently applied.
  14. My security guy yesterday was in a nice mood. He saw a packet of Pringles and a loo roll in my bag, and pointed at the Pringles saying "These are for me, and this [loo roll] is for you" while laughing. I enjoyed that little interaction.
  15. Our shuttle bus rear ended a taxi on the first corner, which kind of felt like a metaphor for the festival organisation in general...
