If you have any doubts then don’t pay until either the buyer sends you a screenshot of the order confirmation or you get the “a balance has been paid on your registration” email from the festival.

If someone buys for you then see tickets will send you an email confirming the ticket purchase.

And they send the email straight away, my mate text to say he'd gotten our tickets and the email was already in box confirming (not that I didn't trust him 🤣 but I'd never think I'd secured tickets until I see the email)

Not always been the case though those emails have taken some time in the past

I realise now that my fairly new account making a post saying sharing with strangers may have been 100% safe in the past is sus.

For avoidance of doubt, I've been around here a while but I have no intention of trying to join anyone, we've always managed on our own and I don't trust you lot even if the historical record is good.

Drunk now but very amused that I seem to have come across as the worst scammer in history.

Maybe its when you said this

" I don't trust you lot even if the historical record is good".

Why bother coming onto this topic if you're saying these things 🤷‍♂️

I might be interested in this for my sons ticket if I can get my head round it - we would be doing coach tickets from London, probably on Weds/Thurs am (just to be ridiculously specific). I have only had to buy tickets once in the last ten years (when he came last) so the whole thing frazzles my brain. It might just be easier to get him a shelter place tbh. He refuses to litterpick with us!

How ungrateful... I am sure you can find a couple of people ready to be adopted to join the litertpickers team 😛

Got a great "buddy" through the forum when it comes to ticket day, they have got mine and I've returned the favour as well.  They usually go for coach tickets whereas I go for the general sale so it's perfect in helping each other out.

42 in our Syndicate this year

Spreasheet has really taken on a life of its own

Fingers crossed for the big day

How do you structure this? Ours is over 18 for the first time (25 atm) and we have 5 groups of 5 (based on friendship groups and coach locations), and I have assigned each group a 1st and 2nd group to try for if they get their tickets. Unsure if there's a better way.

We've got 7 groups of 6 all on one sheet of a spreadsheet - Each split into mini tables of 6 which has a Name - Reg No - Postcode - Phone No.

For initial coach sale, we've not got a 'Next Group to help' - I did have this column, but removed it - once you get past a certain number in the syndicate it's kind of by the by. When we were a smaller group, it was easier to allocated this kind of thing - feel like it works well up to the point of 4 groups of 6, then you kind of reach saturation point. Also feel like with Coach T-Day - even if you are lucky enough to get through twice, the slots go so so quick. We've also got enough inter-group connections that I feel like people will naturally have a feel of which group to go for next.

But depending on success of Coach T-Day however, that column will likely be bought back - and like you, it's just a column which is 1st team to help, 2nd team to help. And it tries to distrubute the team members evenly across the rest of the spread.

Obvioulsy this all means that everyone on ticket day knows that communication is key. So every mini team has their own group chat, and on ticket day the only communication in the mother group chat is stuff like 'Team 01 IN' .... 'Team 01 success' .... 'Team 01 in buying for Team 02' etc etc

I'm the only person who can edit the spreadsheet, and with a tick of a box, I can block out whole teams if they've had success so people know not to purchase for that team again

If we have success in Coach sale - these people will then be allocated a team to help on General Sale.

Each team has decided if they want Weds / Thurs / No Coach tickets - this is specified alongside their mini table - so if two people from the sale team get through on Coach day, they can easily see who to buy for depending on whats left available

As you can probably tell, I absolutely love admin.

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.
