Went to see Rhythm of the 90s in London on Friday night. Such good fun. Spoke to the leader singer after and she confirmed playing Croissant Neuf at 1am Sunday night. Will be a great way to finish the festival.

First ever trip to Brundel social club (what an awesome venue) 

 

Sorry - great set good performance. 

 

Few new tracks sounding good. 

 

Given they are on early at Woodsies I'd call it a mistake to miss them at Glasto

Looks that way, they haven't yet released any trackless so they are just listed in the other section fir now

 

Normally I don't double dip so woukd see someone else at Glasto but I'd watch that show again in a flash

[Badlands]

Flaming Lips in Leeds, Friday. All the usual superlatives to describe them. Golden Path played for the first time in a while. They sounded brilliant.

Supergrass, Feeder and Jake Bugg on Saturday night on Swansea Beach. All good fun and an enjoyable old day, none are really going to set the world alight in 2025 but a good nostalgia trip nonetheless

Supergrass at olympia Liverpool last night good fun and seemed well up for it . Supported by sports team who I admit I am aware of but don't know their music but enjoyed them got a good response from crowd

Oh god. Saw them at most hated venue O2. And just blew me away. And then had to rush buy a ticket in Birmingham the next week. On my own. Got there at 4pm and stood and stood. Front row. Pogues at Manc Apollo last night. Loved it, having the guest vocalists was a master stroke. Rum, Sodomy and The Lash in full with a few extras thrown in for good measure.

 

 

Support was Stick In The Wheel. Didn't really do it for me, if I'm honest. Interesting enough but... nah.

Scissor Sisters in SWX/electric Bristol last night. 

 

Sold out, packed crowd and not only did the crowd sing along all the songs I knew, but a good half dozen I had no idea of.  

 

Still did this cover too

 

Thought the two female singers did a cracking job too, each singing lead on some songs in their own style and also backing for all the other songs, great live band too. 

 

My pic is rubbish @Crazyfool01 was elsewhere and is taller and has a brilliant one.

yep the loss of Ana Matronic I wouldnt say impacted in anyway whatsoever . really high energy and the lesser known songs kept that going ... A must see on Woodsies for me now  .  Absolutely heaving in that venue 🙂

Tagged along with a friend to see Bryan Adams on the first night of his UK tour at Newcastle arena last night. Very enjoyable time, just Bryan and the lads having a good time playing all the hits. Even the newer songs got a good reception from the crowd. Should be an absolute shoe-in for the legend slot post-fallow.

I just booked Liverpool actually, £55 for Row A seats, through the arena website! Seen him before, it's always amazing as you describe and I agree, always thought he'd go down brilliantly at Glastonbury

Mik Artistik in Birkenhead last night. On fine form, with Jonnie again demonstrating what an amazing guitarist he is. 

 

 

 

Support from the entertaining T.S. Idiot, shame he only got a tiny crowd, deserved more but people were soaking up the sun outside.
