did anyone else catch October Drift on their tour ? close to selling out Scala an 800cap venue on tue night .... I saw them at Thekla and despite the album not grabbing me as the previous one did .... it still has  some outstanding tracks on it , they continue to be be one of the best live acts ive seen and they are guaranteed to get amongst the audience

Yes… managed to get to Scala..

A good 80 minutes+ set which really went down well…

the band looked thrilled with the size of gig and really put on a great show (as normal tbf)… I hope that this can be a springboard for them..

Ah amazing was so tempted to go to that one … even booked the time off but transport and accommodation proved a bit out my price range . Seen a few clips . If they don’t play Glastonbury next year I’ll be upset ( based on no knowledge I’ll clarify ) just seems a good time to return

I was wearing a Bearded Theory t-shirt on Tuesday and go chatting to a guy that used to compere the Woodland Stage their (no longer since they got taken over) and he is a big fan after seeing on his stage in ‘22 I think(?)….

if they don’t get bookings at a number of festivals next year their management wants firing…

The Libertines were great in Manchester tonight. Change the name of Avalon to Albion and stick them on on the Saturday night and that'll be that problem solved I reckon.

Great gig but felt dangerously oversold before they came on. Thankfully some of the crowd ventured upstairs and there was a bit more space.

But yeah, really good gig.

I mentioned the oversold feeling on another forum. It always feels like that at Albert Hall when you're at a sold out gig but last night seemed worse than usual!

Speaking of oversold gigs, off to The Wardrobe tonight for Twin Atlantic.

In terms of proxmity for where I am in West Yorkshire, it is the easiest venue for me to get to. But I can't say I've ever been too enamoured with it, and it likely comes down to the fact that a "capacity" show there always feels packt like sardines in a crushd tin box, to paraphrase.

Did you catch HotWaz bit of a perpetual support act at the moment, but there debut album is out next month - they are very good

Saw Faithless last night in Document in Bristol. It’s basically a warehouse but is a fantastic venue. Must have been around 3000 in there.

Excellent set and great to see them again live. Obviously not the same without Maxi but the had visuals of him singing the classics.

Best £44 I’ve spent for a while.

Went to see Interpol at Alexandra Palace last night. Pretty happy with it - sound was punchy, Antics stuff still sounds great, they played My Desire and Roland, which I'm happy with, crowd was into it. Pretty good evening at the end of a tricky week.

Support acts were mixed. First act Dust had something about them and were quite loud, second act Iceage just sounded muddy and also did not once talk to the crowd, so did feel a bit like being in on a practice session.

Went to see forum darlings Kasiabian with The Streets at the BP Pulse/NEC last night. Streets were on usual good form with Skinner clearly chuffed to play the NEC. I’d seen Kasabian with Serge fronting before but I  wasn’t really focussed on it then, but last night I really think he’s stepped up and the band was really good. Forgot how solid the back catalogue was too.

Remembered what an absolute pita going to gigs in places like that is …

    • I'd definitely consider a Blink/BMTH/FNM headline trio. If they can get Edguy over for one of their last shows, it'd probably seal the deal.
