Billie vs QOTSA

Calvin vs Macca

PSB vs Kendrick

Pretty strong choices too. I'd imagine John Peel would have a pretty heavy indie/guitar band on the Sunday with a more dance act on the Friday.

I think if Dua doesn't come back this year, she's pretty much got a yes to headline of the next album.

From what I've heard the info doesn't say he's playing 2 gigs but I don't see Calvin only being onsite for a stand-alone gig albeit with that gig possibly as an alter-ego.

Makes zero sense for someone of that size surely?!

I guess weirder things have happened.

Funny you should mention them...

...intriguing. Do share...I know they're working on something new. Piecing the sparse clue(s) together, I'm wondering if they're going down the early 90s breakbeat/jungle techno route, which has enjoyed a bit of a resurgence over the past twelve months. Anyway, what you got?

More suited to a late night area with lots of fire then?

Yeah you are right - it just irks me a lot of people have plenty to say about the lineup but never declare who they would prefer.

Challenge accepted.

Pearl Jam / Taylor / Pink Floyd.

Anything else is shite and not worthy of worthy. 😇

Wind yer neck in lad. Diana didn't slice her penalty at the 1994 World Cup for this slander.

Piss poor penalty from Diana, tried to be too clever with a little stutter as she ran up and just shanked it. She should have just put her foot through it.

Aretha would have buried it.

Old irrelevant shite/Pop shite/Old boring shite would be the internet's reaction.

Exactly. Which is why such games are futile. Edit: Someone above - I can’t remember who, perhaps you - said the internet reaction to *anyone* is bad. And that’s totally true, so we can only try and triangulate our personal wishes with what Glasto can get. And mostly be ok with it. I’ll be pretty pissed if it turns out to be Billie/Harry/Kanye at Glasto tho.

I went on the pitch at Stoke away back in 1998ish as a youngster and shanked my pre-match pen. Haunted me ever since and I'm scared seeing Di Ross on the Sunday is gonna give me flashbacks. Simon Betts scored a worldy though in a 3-3 thriller so that cheered me up a fair bit.

It's a delicate balance, I can't pretend I'm above shitting on acts I don't like (Courteeners, RHCP spring immediately to mind) but at the same time people really shouldn't be made to feel bad for liking what they like. I feel a lot of people will express their disappointment at something but not offer an alternative for fear of attack.

Very true. I have to accept I’m old and out of date and therefore I have to accept that the line up really isn’t for me. And I’m pretty cool with that. Some people can’t accept that the line up isn’t built specifically for them and their tastes.

Genuine question... If Harry Styles is considered a future headliner then is Liam Gallagher too? He is unarguably one of the biggest acts in the country these days, has already headlined Reading and Latitude and seems to be playing bigger and bigger shows every year.

If Styles is headline material then surely Liam is too...

    • It's a smart move because week after we have 5 fests: Download, Nova Rock, Greenfield, Mystic, Sweden Rock
    • Oh I 100% agree and I'm questioning a lot.
    • That would be a day ticket for Friday going based on that. In 2027 that would suck for me lol.
    • And it's been moved forward a week, same weekend as RaR
