2022 Headliners

I don’t understand this “Macca’s too old” line that’s appeared suddenly. It’s not like they’ll be dragging him out of a retirement home and plonking him onstage with a guitar and a book of quips. He’s been touring regularly for years and isn’t showing any sign of stopping any time soon.

So 78’s fine, but not 80? Diana will just get in then.

A valid point of course and every person will age at a different rate but unfortunately time can not be turned back and another 18 months is a long time for people at that age. Hope I am wrong but his ability to play a two hour  headline set will be diminishing at an accelerating rate.

At the very least we may get a shorter set of Nanananana’s during ‘Hey Jude’ if he’s a year older.

His last full show was in LA in 2019, and he played 38 songs - which is about par for him. When Ed Sheeran last played Glasto he did 15 songs. If Macca does a two hour set we'll be short-changed

Just saying how the Live Nations of the world want some big tours to get back on their feet really fast, those are the types theyre banking on. And yeah, Bone forever lol.

Sure - they'll probably throw st s lot of money at Oasis. But Noel will still say no cos he can afford not to spend 6 months cheek to jowl with someone he detests.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
    • I have a spare campervan pass to get rid of.  unable to use Kaboodle as it is only entry that they re-sell
