U.S. Presidential Election

Don’t know whether I’m annoyed or happy to wake up to this not being called yet.

My god is Georgia close - literally a few thousand between them. Guaranteed to have a recount surely.

Anyway, seems like Trump is gonna draw this out as long as possible, as expected. Prepare for all kinds of meltdowns.

Also maybe it's already been mentioned, but Fox News currently has Biden at 264 which is slightly ahead of most news sources which would mean that when/if Biden gets his next state, Fox News would probably be the first to announce that he's won. Think I'll have to crack a can open for that exact moment.

Fox will turn on him, Murdoch only gives a shit about his own business and is quoted in Fire and Fury (recommended) as referring to him as “a fucking idiot” (in good company there TBF).

Murdoch doc series on the iPlayer also recommended.

Biden totally has Georgia! By my reckoning most of the outstanding votes are Chatham county, which will favour Biden. CNN still reckon there’s Fulton and Clayton to votes to come, where Biden is up HUGE.

What did I miss with Philly overnight? Just counting votes still? Seems there are plenty of votes out there still and it’s obviously tightened up massively. I guess now we might have to wait until this evening to get enough of those votes in?

    • Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
    • Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
    • Well mayors have more powers to do that sh*t...but they have to make the numbers add up.
