It will be weird Johnson telling us later to keep on social distancing when the last few days he hasn’t been with all the other world leaders.

If a load of people can get fucked up in a rave in Liverpool because everyone has been vetted, then I'm cool with a load of (presumably vaccinated) world leaders standing next to each other.

Yeah, exactly my thoughts too.

People talk as if the most powerful people in the world won't be vaccinated + tested to the max before being thrown in a room together?!

Which is why they should let all vaccinated people have their freedoms back ASAP.

Indeed. And all mass gatherings should be allowed under the premise of the testing just like the pilots at least.

Putting at least a 4 week delay on fucks a few festivals over though even if the download results are good. They just wont even look at it until 19th July... even if we have no deaths or anyone in hospital. That bugs me... there is nothing dynamic being put in place.

Yeah, though not good for Johnson if he gets a load of Tory MPs voting against. Anyway, any rebellion might not come to much in the end.

i dunno, even Theresa May is against further restrictions. I think Bojo may regret listening to the zero covid nutters

This might be one for @Toilet Duck but what's the latest on protection if you've had COVID (in my case at the beginning of Jan) and had your first dose of the vaccination? (fwiw I had Moderna)

In those instances are you more or less fully protected after the jab has had 3 weeks to take effect?

If so (i'm mot implying I won't have my 2nd jab by saying this) how much "extra" will the 2nd dose give you?

It's fuckijg awful.  Fool me for giving it a chance 😆

It seems to be produced by school children as well.  Rank amateur sound and camera work

It’s just daily mail talking points. Not anything new at all. Take a drink every time they mention the “woke media” or they go for the “BBC”.

Seems pretty skewed in one direction to me. Expect the coverage to be wall to wall debating trans rights or footballers taking the knee. When they debate these things everyone at the table will probably have the same view point.

I hope Andrew Neil enjoys his little personal revenge project against the BBC.

It was good to see normal service resumed for the football yesterday all over the country. I'm not sure that many people are still following social distancing at all unless forced to are they?

Yup. We've all been more than patient but enough is enough. Hopefully a few instances of civil disobedience and massive houseparties will follow to let this cowardly government we aren't happy about this

Honestly, I really doubt it pal.

Despite what you think, there isn't going to be riots in the streets because night club openings are being pushed back a few weeks. I was with a group of friends in the park yesterday who I would say fall into the 'have very loosely followed restrcictions for the most part' and not one of them took issue with the lockdown restrictions being pushed back.

I really think a few of you are underestimating how complient a lot of people are.

Sorry but that is the issue.  You are sat around with a bunch who haven't followed the rules.  Meanwhile its causing my kids to miss out on a fuck ton of once in a childhood events.

Its not surprising when I am saying I want restrictions to go and your mates who couldn't give a fuck about the rules anyway don't care if they are extended.

Selfish fucks

yeah exactly. Its easy to be relaxed about restrictions if you arent bothering to follow them

I think most people will be fine holding off on all that for 4 weeks to give more people chance to get vaccinated, which one of those are the people virulently opposed to this so upset about? Or is it more the principle for them?

Depends if thats the only reason, and its a fixed 4 weeks and then back to normal.

But it wont be, the zero covid nutters will try to find another reason to keep restrictions in place, and the govt will go along with it. Move the goalposts again

1. All of them wear masks inside something which you show issue with.

2. When I say loose restrictions it's literally meeting people at parks.

Why don't you get a grip.

In what world is that a fair way of doing it when vacine dates have been mandated by age/vulnerability...

I find it amusing that a lot of older/vulnerable vaccinated people are suddenly in favour of opening up now they feel safe after their second jabs, when they were the same people in the past criticising younger people for not aderheing to the rules and waiting a little longer until the vulnerable/elderly were safe despite the risk being lower for younger people.
