I don't understand why we can't update the guidance on these things.

It almost feels like doing that is too far down the priority list. Like it does no harm so why rush to change it when there's other things to sort out first. I f you see what I mean. Don't get me wrong, cleaning stuff in a hostel isn't a bad thing. They get quite grubby quite quickly if you don't. But we have to clean the shared showers between each room using them. Showers! That's an official government requirement for us to operate.

Hey guys sorry this is completely off-topic but based on the football yesterday I thought it was a good idea to share.

Did you have a good time Sir? I hope you were good.

Yes, had a good time...in hindsight maybe the last few beers were unnecessary. Good to be out though, places seemed fairly busy but also still complying with rules, few places we couldn't get in.

An extension into spring and I’d seriously get worried for the future of the UK Festival industry. Glastonbury too.

Bit confused about this?

An extension into spring 2022? The current lockdown is just being proposed to be pushed back a month? Glasto this year was cancelled months ago.

Am I missing something?

Because the current proposal of a month will just keep getting pushed back by the scientists. Especially Susan Michie who wants a “new normal”

Nah some of you lot are just being paranoid/getting carried away now.

Go sit in the sun, have a chill and enjoy your Sunday. This will all be wrapped up come August.

Where's the concern that seasonality is as large a concern as millions of unvaccinated coming from? This is a fast moving thread - did I miss an article earlier?

Edit: sorry for putting words into people's mouths, but isn't that essentially the concern that we're going to need measures heading into autumn?

‘In hindsight the last few beers were unnecessary’ has been a backdrop to my life, way before covid.Ha ha.

I’m starting to get a little nervous of the pushes back now on dates … and I’m definately in the no further than 1 month camp 🏕 … it does raise concerns over what remains after  that delay …. For many thats peak trade time … hopefully things bounce back and adapt and fill those voids … Let’s hope that is it !! But it’s fucked my cricket and likely beautiful days now … so I’ll need to work out some alternatives

That's the euros ruined, along with many businesses that this will put under for good. We will have more restrictions than last summer even though the vulnerable have been vaccinated. I really hope businesses rally together and open up properly on the 21st. What an occasion it would be to end this insanity.

I don’t think we know on the euros yet do we ? That might still get some increases in crowds with testing ? And please tell me what restrictions we have now that we didn’t last summer … they seem the same … or slightly better with some testing events
