Ministers are alarmed at the impact that online propaganda is having on public opinion. A recent report found that more than one-third of people are uncertain or are very unlikely to be vaccinated.

Of course there's an underlying truth to what you're saying, but this situation in 2020 is probably when it applies the least. We're all affected by these restrictions.

Would add that a lot of those who "oppose restrictions" aren't necessarily against the idea of restrictions, but are against restrictions without economic support. Take Andy Burnham as an example, he's not an "economy over lives" guy, he just believes the government has the obligation to protect people and businesses that are forced to go inactive for a period.

Remember in October when Tory MP Jerome Mayhew organised a letter to the north west to ask us to just accept regional restrictions. I wonder how many of those 20 MPs are now resisting it in their own constituency.

IMO the old tiers didn’t work so you have to do something different. Different means tighter restrictions.

Been looking around for things to do post-lockdown. Interested to see that every gig lined up at Brixton Windmill is sold out already.

Also, all the classes at my gym are booking out straight away a week in advance. Last time, the gym was quite empty for a few weeks then it picked up. Looks like people are generally less cautious than they were last time.

Agree with that, finger in the air feeling is that even those who were more cautious are now just getting on with regular things

Yes they have, yesterdays figures for hospital admissions showed data for the 24th, it just shows data a couple of days later.
