I'm inclined to think that The 1975 won't be a headliner next year, it would be no different from Liam Gallagher doing Finsbury and subbing Glastonbury which he didn't do until the following year.

I also think Glastonbury would be a solo UK gig with a much later in the summer headline show or even the following summer.

This is your worst post on this entire website.

I had to reverse image search to find out who this band is. I remember them being on lineups that I used to attend but I know nothing about them.

Are we ruling out any possible DJ’s headlining? Or are there too many options to keep them for the Other stage?

Just thinking of Calvin Harris & Martin Garrix.

Seems a bit too late really. There were a couple of years in the mid 10s where it could have happened. With Calvin Harris taking headline slots at some festivals.

However it seems to have fizzled a bit. I don’t think the demand or mass attention on djs at the moment is the same as it was back then. Things move fast.

I think the reason for this is more niche dance acts - Bicep, Solardo etc became quite mainstream, and stole some of calvins fans probably. Booking Calvin to headline has probably lost its wow factor for some.

Tribes is a blast from the past. Another band that NME hyped up just to abandon.. poor blokes.

I remember getting really into them for about two weeks in 2011. Now I can't think of a single song they did.

More importantly, when are WU LYF headlining?

Am I wrong or was Today when BST was going to give some update?

It was supposed to be, aye. Nothing yet - not sure if there will be anything at this rate.

Ken in the RW thread is hinting that Kendrick has not rescheduled.

Doesn't sound definitive though. "For the moment".

I can see both Taylor and Kendrick not wanting to commit to these rescheduled shows yet, and that might be what's fuelled the BST non-announcement. They both might end up doing it, but they're not booked yet.

It’s a real fucker headliner-wise that this happened this year of all years, as Emily & co. obviously had to work hard and have been having long discussions to lock in three headliners who might not usually be willing to play for the reduced fee. Any other year I’m sure getting headliners back would be fairly easy, or if not, another equally good one would be available, but all three of this years could just flake out for a number of reasons and it’s hard to think of any realistic equal replacements (for my personal taste, anyway - I’m sure there are tons of people hoping a more standard band or two replaces some of them).

    • Yeah I find it strange, if they were just a silly act then they wouldn't be headlining the 3rd stage. The likes of vengaboys yes but they aren't doing their own sizeable arena dates.  That looks very weak for what they could actually get, but GC aren't playing 3rd main stage with The 02 and the Coop arena and in a same slot that KSE are. MIW aren't carrying those two dates either, neither are Turnstile and Parkway Drive tickets didn't play out. You gotta do better than Ghost, Blink and Deftones though.    I think you are a bit even if that is not the intention. I'm genuinely shocked they booked them for the avalanche and I think it'll be rammed out of the tent. While ADTR will obviously get a lot too, many Download attendees will had the chance to see them at Slam Dunk. I think 90s fest getting Scooter was class and while there would have been some Download crossover, the Slam Dunk crossover given acts you get on the avalanche will be a different level.

    • So, what would the weather have been like at this year's festival?   It's been shambolic around here, the rain is soul destroying and showing no sign of letting up, bar odd sporadic days here and there. Disgraceful for June.   What's it like down there? Have we had a lucky escape?...
