Merry Christmas...

Merry Christmas folks, hope you're all having a great day! Although I disagree with it being called the most wonderful time of the year, as that's usually at the end of June 😄

Been drinking since 8. At the stage of bringing up politics (mostly via calling my mum's pets tories), and in about 3 drinks time I'll probably be drunk texting exes and whatnot. Oh happy days 😅

😁 sadly no, but I did find it very useful.  A can of lynx and a zippo lighter and I incinerated a wasps nest in our shed last summer. 🐝

ill remember that tip ... for when I get some lynx for christmas .... and a shed .... a zippo lighter .... and a wasp nest ..... and a summer :)

Having an hour or two on my own catching up on The Amazing Race Canada whilst the rest of the weirdo family watch Call The Midwife.

I’m looking forward to drunk ramblings on here in a few hours.

Especially when James Corden is announced as headlining West Holts at 21:30.

A lot of this resonates, but r.e. the bit in bold..I  find it's better to delete that shit from your phone contacts on the 22nd. And then you only have blind drunk fam arguments to guilt wake up to.

Don't you dare

I felt a really high amount of self-loathing whilst watching his G&S performance. But now my family are all watching EastEnders....so... I kind of want him back?

I still draw the line at West Holts though

You are most probably right. But I'm one of those folk that just gets extra depressed around Xmas time tbh, which usually leads to reminiscing on lost loves and other regrets lmao

Aye but I think while it may seem easy on paper, it can be hard to delete all the contact details and messages etc from someone, especially if it's someone you once deeply cared about . It's almost like trying to erase the memories

Yeh this is great! Although I don't remember this Bon Jovi guy coming out and I thought I was relatively sober at this point....clearly not!

    • I see, well even if they aren't on sale it's still not a disaster sales wise, it's not like they are struggling to sell a half capacity areana
    • Blue dot wouldn’t be a thing if Ticketmasters dynamic pricing went down as well as up, it proves that the dynamic pricing was just a scam to make more money rather than something that moved with the market supply/demand.
    • I agree that we’ll never really know up until the concert happens (and even then we still may not know) but I think promoters are having to come up with new tactics to combat ‘blue dot fever’ (already hating that phrase!) and trying to imply that concerts are selling better than they actually are / available tickets are in short supply is definitely one of them.    To add though, it is quite common at the O2 Arena for the rear blocks to not go on sale (and then remain closed for the concert and covered over to hide the empty seats). And equally common for standing to sell out first, then side/lower tier seating next and rear/upper tier seating last.    Jungle’s two concerts at the O2 are a good comparison for this - for their 1st (announced) date, all blocks are on sale and seats in all sections remain unsold, whereas for their 2nd date, the rear blocks are greyed out (more so than for Muse) and equally lots of seats remain unsold in the blue blocks. Standing for both concerts are showing as sold out.
    • MGK can and should headline. I was at one of his shows earlier in the year as a very casual fan, and there were a lot of alt people there. The show was actually class and he completely won me over. Anyone who opposes him headlining is just a gatekeeper imo, we need to move with the times.
    • Ultimately Glasto is just part of the festival circuit, however special we may think it is. The vast majority of its headliners have done many others
