You saw them at Gorilla, do you need to see the same (admittedly very good) set again in a different place where you can't see them as well?

By the time Glasto comes around I'll have seen Hot Chip three times in 2.5 months.

Still can't decide between Hot Chip and Chems. Even considering first half of Chems and then up for most of Hot Chip but that seems silly.

I am going to Bluedot and seeing them in Amsterdam. There will also be another Manchester date. It is still a killer clash. Hot Chip is a sure fire great time ?‍♂️

A genuine dilemma.

It’s beyond music now, I’m going to have to factor in the stage, where I’m likely to be before hand and where I want to go straight after.

On music alone I can’t separate them.

When the full line up and times are out I’ll decide.

Yeah this exactly.

APE has made it worse for me if anything. I enjoyed Chems more on the day but then it wasn’t a fair comparison because Hot Chip need to be given their chance to shine during a longer headline set (plus it’s on the Park stage!)

I’ve never seen a Park headliner so that’s a huge draw.

Plus the Chems set is likely to be fairly similar, where as HC will obvs get more time than at APE.

But still, it’s The Chems.

Let’s see how the subs pan out first.

I’ll take solace in knowing whichever choice we make, it will be awesome!

I know, I know ?. Honestly, I think this is the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make!

I think @nikkic is right, we just need to stop thinking about it now until we have all the relevant information.

And then we’ll all go to Hot Chip on the Park and have an absolute blast.

I once had to choose between David Guetta and the Stone Roses. I chose Guetta and do not regret it, had a ball.

They confirmed your rock-solid Ally Pally info at APE yesterday.

Oh did they? Haha. I saw something flash across the screen but wasn’t sure if it was for hot chip or someone else, is that what you meant? Thought they were fantastic, it’ll be great to see them play a longer set in October.

Any chance of getting close for Hot Chip if you do that

    • Hush cancelled with a similar event now taking place at EartH and Cate Le Bon doing her own show, maybe others have rearranged gigs?
    • Yeah I find it strange, if they were just a silly act then they wouldn't be headlining the 3rd stage. The likes of vengaboys yes but they aren't doing their own sizeable arena dates.  That looks very weak for what they could actually get, but GC aren't playing 3rd main stage with The 02 and the Coop arena and in a same slot that KSE are. MIW aren't carrying those two dates either, neither are Turnstile and Parkway Drive tickets didn't play out. You gotta do better than Ghost, Blink and Deftones though.    I think you are a bit even if that is not the intention. I'm genuinely shocked they booked them for the avalanche and I think it'll be rammed out of the tent. While ADTR will obviously get a lot too, many Download attendees will had the chance to see them at Slam Dunk. I think 90s fest getting Scooter was class and while there would have been some Download crossover, the Slam Dunk crossover given acts you get on the avalanche will be a different level.
