I did this at beautiful days and it worked great, couldn't imagine doing it at Glastonbury? its so far! It's an option though

It really isn't as far when you're not struggling. I quite like going back and seeing the excitement of the arriving people too.

We do the first load light - tent and a bag full and only one or two tins. Tent up - celebrate with a beer and then the incentive to go back is you need to for the beer.

The old man dug out his trolley yesterday. Repairs needed…

He replaced a panel and is looking at pvc based solutions for the roof to avoid using ply which then is at serious risk of delaminating when stored outside.

I approve of the scary bear trolley.

It’s pretty worse for wear in those pics. He replaced the delaminated panel yesterday and repainted it all red. I’ll post some more pics when it’s done and he’s made a new lid.

Here it is in action 2019.

I've ordered this Homebase trolley for click & collect but having read comments in this thread i'm having second thoughts..

Could anyone advise which out of the below VonHaus & Sherpa trolleys is the best? the VonHaus has a higher weight bearing load but I think the Sherpa looks like it has a more solid build?

VonHaus - https://www.vonhaus.com/vh_en/garden-trolley

Sherpa - https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/6048562154

Personally I think the VonHaus looks significantly more solid, of the two.

Always look at the wheels first, as that's almost always where trolleys fail - the type, the size, the likelihood they fall off.

I'm not massively impressed with how either set of wheels attach, but the lack of an axel on the Sherpa seems like it's asking for trouble.

I'd second this advice on the wheels.  Chunky pneumatic tyres are a must for the rough ground and rickety metal walkways. That said, the one I have is probably most similar to the Homebase one and it's done 10+ festivals and is still going strong.  Including Glastonbury 2011 and 2016 which were both swamp conditions on the way in.

I've changed all mine to solid rubber wheels.  I've only ever had pneumatic wheels fail on me.

I've just discovered the existence of this trolley (see photos). It's described as a 3 wheel Go Kart trolley. I can see how it could be adapted to form a useful festival trolley. It has a scissor action so has the capacity to be less bulky (could go on a roof rack).

I haven't looked around for costs, but this one retails at £90.
