Yeah that’s the kind of act to announce 5th in a string of 12 in 10 minute intervals like last year. Not with a clue and 24 hours build-up!

They also did this last year with the weekend announcements, didn't they? Small or Spanish acts. Can't say I'm surprised.

I didn’t mean they announced the smaller ones at the weekend, just that they surrounded them by other announcements in clusters. In terms of the clues (which were the places they came from last year) and announcements a day later, I think they were generally bigger acts.

As if the people working on those pages of Wikipedia know every small band ever that's been founded in a specific year.

Idk why everyone is so surprised that it's a band like The Snuts being announced. It's Saturday so not many people are to be found on the internet anyways like on working days. Seems like the type of band to play in the Thunder Bitch or Mondosonoro.

Yeah, I know what you meant and you're also right of course. I just also remember individual coordinate clues for Spanish acts and smaller confirmations in weekends last year. Could be wrong though...

Ohhh really, fair enough. Quite likely I’ve simply forgotten that then. Makes sense to do it at the weekend if they’re going to do it at all, of course. Bring on the next clue (even if it is likely to be someone we’ve never heard of)

Blossoms, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Run the Jewels.

Probs something small like The Snuts with it being a Sunday, like.

Royal Blood, Jungle, Let's Eat Gradma, The Academic.

Part of the clue was number 91 which is sometimes a clue towards birth years.

Yeah I left out Royal Blood and The Voidz as I doubt they'll be active next year. Let's Eat Grandma I would have included if they were on the list I read.

    • I see, well even if they aren't on sale it's still not a disaster sales wise, it's not like they are struggling to sell a half capacity areana
    • Blue dot wouldn’t be a thing if Ticketmasters dynamic pricing went down as well as up, it proves that the dynamic pricing was just a scam to make more money rather than something that moved with the market supply/demand.
    • I agree that we’ll never really know up until the concert happens (and even then we still may not know) but I think promoters are having to come up with new tactics to combat ‘blue dot fever’ (already hating that phrase!) and trying to imply that concerts are selling better than they actually are / available tickets are in short supply is definitely one of them.    To add though, it is quite common at the O2 Arena for the rear blocks to not go on sale (and then remain closed for the concert and covered over to hide the empty seats). And equally common for standing to sell out first, then side/lower tier seating next and rear/upper tier seating last.    Jungle’s two concerts at the O2 are a good comparison for this - for their 1st (announced) date, all blocks are on sale and seats in all sections remain unsold, whereas for their 2nd date, the rear blocks are greyed out (more so than for Muse) and equally lots of seats remain unsold in the blue blocks. Standing for both concerts are showing as sold out.
    • MGK can and should headline. I was at one of his shows earlier in the year as a very casual fan, and there were a lot of alt people there. The show was actually class and he completely won me over. Anyone who opposes him headlining is just a gatekeeper imo, we need to move with the times.
    • Ultimately Glasto is just part of the festival circuit, however special we may think it is. The vast majority of its headliners have done many others
