nice catch, SBSR are doing alright for themselves this year.

One of the worst lineups I seen this year; Migos, Lana, 1975, Disclosure. Wouldn’t go even if somebody offered me a ticket

Please announce Foals...

Foals is very picky this year. They are not at any big festivals in Europe like Glastonbury and Rock Werchter with a few exceptions like Rock am Ring. They mostly picked smaller festivals that they can headline. I am not sure if they would pick Mad Cool and Nos Alive this year or next year, so that they can release their albums Part 2 and have a bigger concert.

Yeah, this makes sense. I remember a few years ago Rob De Bank said he'd tried and failed to get them for Bestival because they said they either were or weren't playing tents that year. So they clearly think about those sorts of things.

I agree, nevertheless they fit in a coheadline structure with Bon Iver and Chemical Brothers! I wish they could sub The Cure

From North see Jazz Festival

Unfortunately we received the message that H.E.R. has cancelled her European tour and will not perform at North Sea Jazz this year.

Didn't find any official statement but I think Nos Alive as well.

They keep posting about H.E.R. (how funny it is).

    • Pressure will be shifted to Israel, but don't think anything is going to happen this side of the election.
    • It's encouraging news, but Israel's withdrawal from Gaza will very much depend on how credible Hamas's commitment to completely disarm is.   In my view they are right to be skeptical.
    • Now we’ll see if Israel are actually capable of winding their necks in    I doubt it
    • Policing is very relaxed, provided you stay within your lines I'd say. I don't think we're supposed to have an event shelter as well as a tent next to our van, but we've done it without issue for years. It's a happy vibe up there.
    • Do feel a lot more cynical about the Mercury now. Given the awards show is now an arena event, there's clearly a pressure on them to nominate mainstream acts in order to sell tickets for it. And not saying that Jade and Knats don't deserve to be nominated (haven't listened to either), but the fact the event is in Newcastle can't have nothing to do with that... (not to mention Fender winning last year, which frankly was a joke)    Hard not to agree with this: https://www.clashmusic.com/features/this-years-mercury-prize-is-a-pivot-towards-the-mainstream/
