turns out he announced this over a month ago! doing a stadium in Paris in may and one in Netherlands on 24th June. most likely not returning to the farm so soon but he’s definitely not peaked yet

Tbf there's nothing on the London Stadium's website saying he's there. But Eventim is saying "tickets on sale soon", so I imagine a formal announcement is coming along in the not-too-distant future.

had no idea Joji was this big - basically a redo of the Rex Orange County show of this year and i imagine with a similar crossover crowd. feeling v out of touch, would’ve had him pegged as a Brixton Academy type!!

just checked the prices for this and they are around £47 for general admission which kinda makes sense to get through about 40,000 tickets - about £20 shyer than an average London one-dayer and only marginally more expensive than he’d probably charge for an indoors show

wow, this music is much more mellow than that poster suggests.

Just had an IG advert for this. googled it and it is on Eventim so probably due to be properly announced very shortly. pretty big gig for the guy

London will always show up for Burna and Wizkid, there's a very strong afrobeats/afrofusion scene here. Wizkid was the first African artist to sell out the o2 I'm pretty sure

oh completely. Wizkid is one of the hottest tickets atm - sold out three O2 shows in ten minutes and I thought he confirmed a London outdoor show for next year but a quick google shows it was a mirage. Even the likes of Asake have sold out 3 nights at Brixton in rapid fire. this should sell with relative ease

This would be incredible. Still have fond memories of them in the tent at Lovebox in 2018 (I think)

Wonder where they would play? Maybe a sunset spot on the park similar to avalanches this year or if they aren't that big in John peel?

They had a pretty major stage setup in 2019 not sure if they could bring that to glasto

Ladies, gentlemen and distinguished guests, your Glasto 23 headliner

Nowhere remotely close to being big or popular enough.

Afternoon slot on Pyramid/Other, max.

Mighty Hoopla festival line up was announced today, for early June in London. It’s a pop festival, but two or three of the names I’d think could be at Glasto.

Kelis, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Years & Years have done it before. Any others you think might appear?

Good to see Midland is about if that wasn't confirmed.

Natasha Bedingfield please!

Hope Alvvays do some dates around that, would love to see them again

Really hope so! Will watch them at their own gig anyway if a local one happens, but they would definitely fit in that Neighbourhood Weekender Pulp day if they were to double up on that weekend .

Wonder what other festivals they'll do if they're on for something like that. Would happily watch them as many times as possible to be fair

Well they're ruled out for that because D2D is both Saturday (Bristol) and Sunday (Nottingham)

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
