Missing Glastonbury institutions?

Morning all,

I have got in the habit of seeing a few Glastonbury institutions over the years but many are missing from the line up.

Biggles Wartime Band are the obvious one. I know Jolly Jock sadly passed away, but are they not active as a band anymore?

Also, Marcus Brigstocke is usually all over the Cabaret Tent but I can't see him. What are your must sees who are there every year? Are any missing?

I can't see the Vodka Jellies any where. They were our choice to kick off the festival last year and Micheal belted out a tune with them.

I just posted in the other missing thread but no Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer this year - he's been our unofficial opening act of the weekend up in Croissant Neuf for the last few years

Don't know how much of an institution these were, as I only started going in 2008, but for about the first 5 years i went it was my regular end to the festival.

This disappoints me much. Was hoping to catch him this year but his slot clashes.

Yep, this. Last few G's I've been down to Avalon Cafe to catch them always a great sing along and usually graced by the estimable Mr. Eavis his-self.

Ah well, all things must pass...

There does seem to be more generally happening on Thursday than in the past so I'll find something to do (Mr. Hillage beckons from the Glade for one)

The Downsetters.

I don't know if this constitutes an institution, but they normally do 2 or 3 sets. For at least the last couple of years they've done the rocket lounge 5am-6am slot, perfect time for a ska band.
