Bar Locations

Is there a map anywhere that has the bar names tagged on them? I always struggle to locate bars I've enjoyed in the past, and the main map doesn't really help!

Sadly 'glastomap' has been taken down by request from the festival - so it's now lost to the 'web archices'  

There have been a few other threads recently where people have been trying to create a list of bars, I think with the intention of forming some sort of map or list - don't think there's any outputs yet but worth a search...

Glasto Earth used to have a fairly decent guide, but I dunno whether it's still being updated or is even supported any more.

That pub crawl map that was doing the rounds here last year was amazing, I printed off a copy and did it in the Thursday.

Ditto. Thursday was arguably the best day for me last year. Had an amazing day on that pub crawl!

My notes tell me that it's near West Holts but in all honesty every time I've found it, I've just stumbled across it!  Shame we don't have Glastomaps anymore.

Oh and I found out that it was @Travis Teewho did the pub crawl - so a shout out to him!  I will be taking it again this year!

Yes, if we're talking Rock the Kasbah, then walk from Leftfield towards WH and it's the big white tent on the left about half way along that walkway

On the pub-crawl map it's the beer-mug just above the Recharge & Juice Tube Exchange label

where is the Chameleon Bar, i've heard it mentioned several times but never seen it (although I haven't gone looking for it too be fair)

Easy one - come out of Bread & Roses (always easiest to navigate from the nearest other pub) and head towards the Pyramid field (this is Butts Lane apparently) and it's the first bar on your left - big Chameleon lounging all over the entrace!

Is this the one with the catwalk kind of dance floor area? With bench seating and tables at a lower level than the dance floor?

Is it bad that it annoys me slightly that the cider bus pin is pointing at slightly the wrong place? Maybe the tent bar over from the bus...

Yep! Kasbah has the in the floor tables and seating, Chameleon is near the Pyramid!

What time do people suggest starting the pub crawl? Is it best to start about 11am for a nice steady run of about an hour in each place?

Sounds good to me!  So - efests meet on Wednesday efests pub crawl on Thursday?  Need to take in Strummerville in the evening as well for the lighting of the fire.
