This is like being asked which is your favourite child.

I love all the longdrops equally.

But if you absolutely had to choose which one you took a shit in...

Worst are the West Holts ones or the ones near Williams Green. Always filthy, always a queue. The SE Corner ones are horrendous too, but I'm usually too drunk to care.

I will quite often walk to the compost loos by the pyramid/cider bus rather than use the long drops at Williams Green. They are always hideous.

The ones on the Railway track between Greenpeace and Croissant Neuf are my favourite morning haunt (!). I also spent rather a lot of time in these on the Saturday day time in 2013 due to a nasty bug. It was touch and go as to whether I'd be ok for staying the rest of the weekend but after a few hours it cleared up. Maybe that's why I have a special fondness for these particular longdrops. Strange.

Sounds like a case of Stockholm Syndrome

I am dreading using these long drops..... just how long is the drop?? how bad is the smell??

and are glasto goers as awful at shitting on a toilet as those at V fest or Leeds? :D Luckily im in worthy view so unless I get caught short after some dodgy food im hoping to not have to use them :D

Worse ones are the Railway Track ones nearest the entrance to Shangri-La imho. The best I reckon are the little known Pennard Hill Gate bank as they are so far out, but a bit of a hike up the hill if you're desperate!

It's many years since I've been to another festival but the Glasto longdrops are luxury in comparison and they're constantly improving.  There is filth and there is smell but after your first time it's nothing.  Composters are positively palatial compared to your average festival portaloo.  Fear not.  I know I've been to pub toilets that are far more clarty.

When I encountered the new ones at West Holts a few years ago now, for the first time, I was heard to exclaim loudly that 'they're as big as a fucking house'  That's how long the drop looked to me.-_-

I've noticed a curious phenomenon after many years of using a whole variety of festival toilets. If I happen to use one of those blue or green turdises in another setting (e.g. the other day at a random building site) the moment I step in and lock the door I feel instantly twatted - even though I'm stone cold sober! Talk about association!

I've managed to use the long drops only once in my two years at Glastonbury. That one experience was luxurious compared to the state of the long drops at Leeds

After doing Leeds a few times the ones at Glastonbury seem like paradise in comparison. Don't be afraid of them, just enjoy the chilled moments unless a storm rolls in.

They are indeed, but the way they look on the Monday morning takes it to another level- tank almost filled up to the brim and the seats and stalls more poo than toilet- really don't know what goes on the Sunday night to peoples tummies and toilet-using abilities

Can someone please make a longdrop Clashfinder for optimal visiting times?

"Right, West Holts is good 10.00 - 13.00 so a couple of pees there, then on to Glasto Latio for a dump at 16.00?"

"Ah, but then we'd be missing out on the composts at the stone circle! They were one of my must-shits!"

"Aye, but to be fair last year I had to miss out on the John Peels because you wanted to go..."

Etc.

    • I agree with £410. Looking at the rate of minimum wage increases which will drive a lot of the cost.
    • Avril is the massive crowd pleaser headliner that would sell well on her own.    MGK as lead act would probably be a don’t buy tickets and do a day at trees instead for our group. Given second stage will be heavier and not our sort of thing.   Turnstile would be class. I’ve wondered before if there’s enough crossover for an Idles performance but would think not quite right.
    • Is Zara Larsson even touring next year? Seems like she'd need new music to extend her tour.
    • Given the assumptions and little bits around Madonna, that BST and Paris post is probably right (few weeks later than the original post).   Just adds to the speculation that - they thought they had Madonna, and now they don't.   I can see what's gonna happen here - they end up booking Oasis and Fontaines for 2028. I don't get a ticket, and have to get out of the country + delete all socials.   That would end me if it happened and I wasn't there.
