We shall see, personally I think they're in with a shout. Interesting for an act that feel like they're over here every summer it'll be 12 years since they last headlined.

I'd largely put that down to them being an irrelevance now. The less rebooking of bands like that the better.

Gaga's last tour grossed $94 mill over 49 shows with a bunch of cancelled tour dates

Perry's last tour grossed $28 mill over 119 shows

Not true exactly, Perry grossed $28m in 2017 & grossed £55.3m in 2018 from the same tour = $83.3m in total.

That aside I don't think a single tour's revenue is indicative of one act being bigger than the other.

But seriously it's Vampire Weekend, come on.

Back to a topic from earlier then. The Killers are active. Not that I think it’ll happen, especially without a new album until 2020.

I really like that line up tbh. Id swap it for the projected Glastonbury line up thats rumoured thus far. For my tastes theres easily enough bands on that line up to appease a full weekend for me.

Sting, Lynyrd Skynryd, Lauren Hill, Counting Crows, Alanis Morisette, Garbage, Bush, B52s, Joan Jett and The Beat. Id snap all those right up.

They get good reports nowadays. Probably cos they don’t have to be around each other for longer than a week at a time.

I'm certainly in no hurry to see them again but I can kinda vouch for this.

Reading set was bang average IMO mainly due to their lack of enthusiasm... same issue at Primavera. Really enjoyed their set at BST though... they actually seemed to enjoy being there!

Did Brandon Flowers piss on your chips or something?

No I just think they're a really bad, annoying band. Same as how I'd say Catfish and the Bottlemen's music is all trash.

Am I the only one who is absolutely LOVING that it’s January and we are back to wills speculation?

... NOW it feels like the build up to poster day!

Huh we have my speculation every day.

I reckon the killers would probably go down very well. The Glasto chat lot would probably be very happy with it.

Stormzy, The Killers and The Cure would definitely be my least favourite trio of headliners Glastonbury has ever had but it does look strong on paper

    • Pretty sure some will be more than that.
    • It's a shame for lots of bands cancelling tours due to poor ticket sales but I'm one of the culprits as I'll wait now closer to the time as theres always a chance of a seat filler or Twickets for half the price. If the bands charged a reasonable price to start with then they'll sell out regardless. Look at Paul Heaton, £39+fees tickets for arenas where some bands are charing £150+fees for the same arena. Prices for drinks in those places is a joke too so many pick and choose.
    • Might just wait it out for the summer shows that got mentioned tbh
    • Good on him i think, though it depends on whether he really does love the music (like Steve Davis) or is just moving into it as a bizarre career option (Gok Wan, from the ten mins i observed from the side of a field once, stood there with no idea whats going on)
    • Better Man, Black maybe. I guess was the same for Metaliica.   They do have a history of bringing on some big guests, for example Pete Townsend and play Who numbers. My gut is they would prob pull it off but they'd get a section of crown leave after a bit. I don't see it happen even though I'd love it.    Other Stage would be immense.   I seem to remember Emily Eavis watching at a Wembley arena night and if it was regular gig with more random unknown fan favourite songs she saw she prob thought not suitable for Pyramid.
