I don't think many of the days will struggle to sell out. I can't speak for Tom Petty or Phil Collins but I can't see BST giving reduced ticket prices for Green Day, Kings of Leon, The Killers or Justin Bieber.

Hasn't Phil Collins already sold out of normal tickets?

Just checked it out and it seems that you're right. I'm quite surprised it sold as quickly as it did.

I'm always surprised that the killers are so poipular for such a shit band.

But I'm not surprised it sold out. Out of everything I've twittered since I took back over at the beginning of the month, that got the most reaction by a VERY long way.

Well I love the Killers and thought I'd grab one on payday next week. How the fuck has it sold out, none of these ever do! Gutted (and I refuse to pay for that priority admission shit).

They have sold out before but yes I was surprised.

The Killers have always been capable of selling tens of thousands of tickets. Whether they've taken time off or not.

Not that quick though!

They sold out 35,000 tickets in Glasgow pretty quickly. They sold out a whole arena tour on that same tour as well. Including two nights at the O2.

They're clearly a big band. Being shite or good is subjective so obviously doesn't even come close to having a say in that, despite what people want to believe.

Only the Stones have sold it out that quick before though and lots of big bands have played. That's why I think it's a surprise.

Yeah its quite odd. I seem to remember last year one of the dates kept 'selling out' then going back on sale, so might be worth keeping an eye on.

Yes, don't believe the hype.  No doubt there will be more ticket drops.  They do this to make people panic and then buy at the first opportunity.

It's even worse with seated gigs, as they use this method to get rid of all the crappiest seats first.

It worries me, Dental. With popularity like this, who's to say they wont be let back into Glastonbury in the future? That would be a very grim day.

I'm a bit too young to know if they're on good terms or not, but with Mike Rutherford supporting Big Phil do you think they might play a few genesis numbers together?

They're on good terms, and there's rumours of another Genesis tour next year.

No idea if Mike might join Phil for a number or two, tho.

    • This Isaac wood news has dropped right out of left field. Great to hear he feels up to doing live stuff again    what will he play? Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
    • Wow, Blink-182 back so soon. They’re the band they’ve never booked then. Great booking if they’ve got them.    Deftones, Papa Roach, Knocked Loose   Lamb of God   Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte   Megadeth   Slipknot, Gojira, Motionless In White   All Time Low
    • Absolutely buzzing if it is Blink    Still can't be 100% sure with Download though
