sorry dental I love you but it feels like you took everything that we'd previously established and thought nah lets shake it up a bit

Any specific examples? A few positions I don't agree with aside (subs and Other headliners etc) I think it's a damn good stab at it.

Everything that has been established by confirmations or anything is there.

That chunk of line up that you keep posting as fact is not.

Although I don't think it's gonna happen that way I do hope your headliner/sub predictions all come true as that'd sort out some of the nightmare clashes I'm currently anticipating, and the more I think about it the more I really don't want to miss Justice despite having realised I probably will a long time ago.

Personally that clashfinder is shite

Well, going off Dental's clashfinder, I'd be looking at:

Elbow - Kate Tempest - Rag N' Bone Man - Kris Kristofferson - Run the Jewels - Halsey - The National - Radiohead

The Ramona Flowers - Martha Wainwright - King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - Shaggy - Father John Misty - Toots and the Maytals - Katy Perry - Solange - The Jacksons

Black Dyke Band - Nao - Michael Kiwanuka - Blossoms - Barry Gibb - Chic - The XX - Biffy Clyro

Which ain't half bad a run, I guess. It just feels a bit... unfulfilling. Flaming Lips and Lorde against The National on Friday is a killer - as is sandwiching Phoenix against Chic and The XX. In terms of a fresh run, it's fairly strong - never seen any, bar Biffy Clyro and Blossoms.

Perhaps not my cup of tea, but a strong effort at a realistic clashfinder. Cheers Dental!

Lorde isn't gonna be on the other stage. Katy Perry subbing foo fighters is just a bit silly, Emeli sande is playing way too high, Biffy Clyro won't be headlining other stage etc

I know it's not been confirmed but the place choosings are just a bit inaccurate and goes against all of the probable outcomes

Biffy are either subbing Foo's or headlining Other on Sunday vs Edward. I think it's a decent stab to be honest.

I don't see why Lorde can't be on the Other stage. On the poster she's beside 3 acts we all expect to be very high up that stage and putting her opposite The National and Radiohead would work well.

I don't dislike the lineup itself.

I think its a bit meh for my liking's. I've seen worse... most notably V festival but its weak imho. Taking the headliners out of last year, the rest of last years lineup was better for my tastes.

She's a pyramid act through and through, perfect for BBC coverage getting her infront of a fat off crowd blasting her new single that will probably be used for the coverage

Also she's an international act coming over for the festival, and playing no other UK festival slots. It's gonna be something worthwhile

In my mind she's bang on for 3rd down pyramid saturday

I agree with Matt here, there is no chance of Lorde not grabbing a Pyramid spot, it's the only UK show she is playing I believe all year at this minute, I'm not even a fan but kinda feel the need to not miss it.

This forum always seems to disagree with me on this too but show me an example of Lorde getting a low slot at a festival?

She obviously has very good management because wherever she shows up she's a marquee act

I'll admit my ignorance in advance here regarding Lorde (I've only really listened to those last few tracks she's released) but does she not have half-decent 'alternative' cred a-la Lana Del Rey? If so I don't see why she wouldn't fit on the Other

EDIT - "a la Lana Del Rey"? Try saying that three times when you're pished

I posted some in the Lorde thread if you fancy digging that up. There was a whole discussion. The bit about her being global, worldwide and a star of the planet came up a fair bit iirc.

The last time this happened I'm sure dental produced various posters of European festivals with Lorde about a third of the way down. I would have said Pyramid too but don't see her playing Saturday and just based on her position on the poster I reckon a high Other slot now. I also get the feeling she'd rather play later on when it's a bit darker but I have nothing to back that up.

I can see the point for Lorde not being on the Other Stage but they still get coverage there on the BBC so if they wanted to sell her on the BBC then they could easily. As a slightly mixed up line up - which is what Glasto does it's pretty good I think. I'd say Anderson Paak would be above Thundercat though and the worst clash of the weekend has to be Katy Perry vs Avalanches... Still think it's a pretty good effort

Okay yeah I am taking these points in, and I see the merit in the disagreements

I just feel like if a very contemporary act was interested in playing the festival - just off the back of a very successful album, never played the festival before, "friends with taylor swift", got a highly anticipated album coming soon... you'd wanna put them on the mainstage wouldn't you? She'd draw a huge crowd without any issue

    • First forecasts claim that though it gets cooler on the weekend (33C-ish), heatwave will be back by Monday. They expect at least 37-38C for next week, they don't know if it goes up to 40 degrees or not. Going to be tough.
    • Already notified me last night. There is always the chance from the waiting list but from my experience, I either win the ballot or miss out. I have never been offered tickets from a wait list for Blue Lights. Had them a few times from Concert For Carers. Hopefully, others on here will have better luck.   We're sorry, but unfortunately, your name has not been selected for All Points East - Deftones (Outbreak) - Sunday 23rd August 2026 at Victoria Park, London on 23 Aug 2026 at 1:30 pm on this occasion. We'll add you to the waiting list, and we’ll be in touch if tickets become available.
    • Agreed. She was in self-promotion mode. Something big could be anything to an artist who already knows what's planned. People have just applied Glastonbury to it, even though the artist might not have been thinking about Glastonbury at all.  She never hinted at it being Glastonbury in any way shape or form.
    • The Pyramid is long overdue a rethink. It looks archaic in this day and age
    • With a good undercard and sensible pricing it might be doable. Took a long time for the Sunday at Tramlines to sell out though. Hopefully now they'd have some good footage from this year's shows to help with the promo.
