Queuing on the A37

We came in through Wells and through the exit route to west car park. No queue at all, roads were clear, straight in the gate, anyone who hasn't set off head for Wells and let your satnav lead the way from there. It'll take you to a right turn where after you take it there's a sign on the left saying no access (to the road on the left) but go straight on and follow the stewards direction.

Which direction were you starting from though?

Did you head towards Glastonbury or Shepton Mallet once you had left Wells? Which side of the site did you end up on?

Terrible news.

Mik Artistik is currently stuck in traffic offsite and may well miss his 6pm show at Croissant Neuf!

Jeesus!  Don't do that - I though he'd been in an accident or something!

Head south from Wells to Glastonbury on A39 then turn left to North Wootton and Launcherley villages.....you'll end up in West parking x

Hey - where were you actually coming from initially though? For those coming from East it seems pretty impossible to come via Wells unless I missed something?

Reckon it's still going to be chaotic tomorrow? Getting the coach from Liverpool!

That would seem very unlucky; surely it'll clear overnight. If the same factors strike again (and dont see how they really could with the caravans, opening delays, car accidents, towing tractors etc) then that'd be quite remarkable, I think.

Could certainly be a busier than average Thursday, though, if lots have held their journey back.

From East approaching on A361 drive straight through Shepton Mallet - DO NOT TURN LEFT ONTO A37! - and head out of Shepton to Wells....then as above x

If anyone is looking to catch a shuttle to WV (after eventually getting there) there are 4 hour delays, my daughter and her friends had a 12 hour coach journey to get there and were told there's a bus stuck on the hill to WV ...

I read that Eavis has basically said 'not our fault, you shouldn't have come early.

Why is it that when things like this happen the organisers say 'not our fault guv' rather than having the balls to say 'sorry we *ucked up' or at least 'sorry we took some wrong decisions '

There were severe traffic probs at two large gigs near where I live - Rod S at Plymouth and Elton at Exeter and at each the organisers said 'not our fault '. Hundreds of people didn't even get to the Elton gig because of traffic and because organisers started show 2hrs earlier than planned.
