Holy hell that was appalling!!!

From the paper masks, to Jack Whitehall (wasn't it?), to the dispassionate MCing, to the guy from Eastenders to the Corrs (The fecking Cause, FFS) it's like they had NO idea what Bowie was about. At all. I would at least expect face paint, but no... paper masks...

Have to say this was cringingly awful, I put a few quid in the charity box, but refused to take a mask.

queen got it right during their set, dedicated under pressure to David, put his face up on the screen and just got on with the song, done, dusted, perfect.

I stopped after 2 minutes. That is just about the antithesis of what I want my festival time to be like.

Previously I had a somewhat presumptuous prejudice about how dull I took the IOW festival to be.

Planning on making the Hot Chip Prince tribute my friday headliner, will be setting off in what I hope is good time. Genosys seemed pretty quiet (volume wise) unless you were near the front last year.

Its a must see for me. May need to leave Muse a bit earlier to avoid the rush.
