The advice is always welcome, especially if it's something we've not heard before! We hid our stash in ham sandwiches last year. Worked a treat :P

I'm sure it is welcome and appreciated I just get worried I'll get told off! I just do some sewing and stitching of things and use those lovely tumble dryer sheets which smell nice. It's easy hiding things in the linings of objects but not so easy finding them when you want them haha.

Even when we've been searched we've been fine! But that has only ever been security searching. Frankly it's the bags you worry about so having stuff in your pockets (or even shoes) and you should be fine...

I've always kept mine in my bag ;)

The tried and tested method of in your pants seems to do the trick

Pants everytime. Inthe run up to these things i always think of strange and imaginative ways to bring stuff in. And every year when it comes down to it they just end up in my boxers. The only way it gets found is by strip search.

I barely made it 10 miles down the M5 in 2008 on the Thursday morning before a couple of our convoy were escorted off the motorway into michaelwood services to reveal a full police operation searching loads of cars. Dogs, search tents, the whole shabang.

Asked twice if I had anything on me. Said no. Dog sniffed out an empty weed wrap I had from the night before in my pocket. Needless to say my bag was searched, stuff got found, I got a lecture off the Sergeant, a 2 year caution and went to the fest empty handed. Good job the guys who didn't get pulled over took pity on me. I only knew 1 of the people I was with as well. And none of them had anything on them. Goes without saying I was rather embarrassed.

And that, kids, is why i dont go on the M5 on the way any more.

Oh my gosh! I've been pulled once, high as a kite (I was young and stupid, still young not stupid) and it's incredible how quickly you sober up. I was incredibly lucky and since that day have never done it again.

Yea it's fortunate I wasn't driving and I didn't have a large amount on me. It was very out of the blue. Not sure how many others have experienced this but it wasn't pleasant!

I've had the full bag search at the gates and a pretty full on one inside the gates mid fest by the long drops near the old open air cinema which was more embarrassing than anything else. I didn't need a poo luckily so there were no unfortunate accidents as a result.

We arrived at around 6pm on Thursday last year, got talking to one of the staff and went straight through, however there was a group of 4 or 5 young lads in front of us (about 18, 19) and they were just starting to get the full search. Rucksacks emptied etc etc. Those guys were clearly off their heads though so they were an easy target.

If you're camping there is only the risk one one bag search.  If you are in the CV Fields there is the risk of a search every day when you go in.  I saw quite a few being bag searched going in from the CV Fields last year. I suppose even if they are taking a more relaxed view on cannabis there are still other things they will be hot on.

One year I went to the IoW and, because it's an arena festival, you go in every day from the campsite.  Not only were they doing bag searches, as you can't take in your own booze, but they also had police sniffer dogs at the turnstiles.

Much more relaxed there now, certainly no turnstiles, little or no bag searches going on, only rowdy groups of lads, everyone had some of their own booze and food in the arena and a pervading aroma weed from Thursday to Monday.
