It’s a lengthy walk and finishing up a very very steep hill by Strummerville and up to Worthy View so you might want to get the shuttle if you do have alot of stuff!

Thanks, suspect we will get the shuttle as expect it to be not to busy by early Thursday afternoon

I did thanks.  From what I've read it can be a wait for the shuttle bus vs a fairly lengthy walk.  Don't mind the latter depending on weather and how well we have managed to pack efficiently

And you'll have hopefully done some practice going up hills in the preceding weeks?

yes, although not with the same load.  The bag I meant, not me putting on weight.  As I keep saying to our group "Its all logistics, just excited we will be there with these "challenges" "

Hi all, been lurking on here for ages but have just created a new account to use and actually post a bit. I *used to* talk about Glastonbury a lot on Twitter (when it was good) as @twistandshout. Didn’t have tickets for this year until I won the WaterAid TikTok competition this week so been a great week. Look forward to chatting to you all!

Hey, I'm a long time lurker but finally decided to get involved! This is my second Glasto after my first last year and I'm even more excited about this one now I know what I'm in for!

Have a great 2 weeks … and obviously an amazing 2nd festival 🙂

Long time lurker, first time poster.  Hailing from up in the North East (Durham). Attended our first Glastonbury last year and absolutely loved it.  Usually do Bloodstock and Desertfest every year but Glastonbury was on an absolute other level. Can't wait to get back on site next week!

Found myself constantly checking the forum over the last couple of months (as well as last year), so thought I had better actually make an account and hopefully contribute a bit to the chat!

Fingers crossed for some good weather!

I joined up a year ago so this is a wee bit late. From looking at past headliners it seems I only bothered with the festival about a decade ago (midlife crisis?) but my enjoyment has ramped up a lot since the covid years, 2023 was a classic but last year wasn't that great. I'm only an iplayer watcher but as a 57year old it's probably the only way I'm able to find out about different bands (radio 2 listener).

I've never bothered with getting diagnosed but I'm sure I'm somewhere on the autistic spectrum so the noise and crowds may be too much for me. I really enjoy the build up and the webcam, Glastonbury is like Christmas in that they're not 12 but 11 months apart if you take into account the anticipation.

I think I'm more of an onlooker than an active participant but looking at Sawdusty Surfer's state of the ground report from last night makes me ache to be there. Hope everyone enjoys themselves.

Hey, Math (43) here. I was lucky enough to go to Glastonbury in 2010, 2022, 2023 and 2024 but we couldn't get tickets this year.

Me and my friends have been absolutely devastated for weeks and it's been hell since the doors opened.

Worst of all, we're still struggling to come to terms with the fact that we're not going this year, and we keep thinking we'll find a way to parachute in tonight from a private jet - we live in Brussels, so it's even more unlikely than it already seems.

The denial is powerful, the pain is intense.

So there you have it, I'm not really new here, I've spent hundreds of hours lurking on the forum without posting, but now I feel the need to do some glasto-related stuff. I've even been browsing the Weather Thread lately, just out of habit (2010 scorchio veteran, so maybe that explains it. NFR NFC !).

Of course, I know that we've been incredibly lucky to have been able to make it these last few years, just as I know that there are much more serious things in life, and that it's a bit ridiculous to be so heartbroken over a festival.

But I'm truly, deeply unhappy that I'm not on the Farm at the moment, and only you can understand that this isn't just ‘a festival’, so I'm here to spill my guts.

I sincerely wish you all the best festival possible. Please make the most of it - for us who couldn't make it at all

(I know I'm slightly off topic, sorry 'bout that, but I didn't know where to post my whining and I'm not really taking part in Glast-home-bury because the BBC is restricted in my country)

A warm welcome! Have you tried using a VPN to access iPlayer? I hear that's a successful strategy

Congratulations on 'getting through it'. You are out the other side ie. it's the Monday after the festival.

All the best.

A full week gone by and yes, I'm feeling better now haha.

I'm getting ready for BBK Live in Bilbao as a rebound, first time there but I hear it's pretty cool.

Thanks for the support!
