found this on twitter which could give an indication as to timescales... 

 

nothing out of the ordinary, but in a reply to the tweet someone asks when it is going to be announced and the answer is "last wednesday in April"

therefore you would expect if its an artist that isn't already announced.... they would be by then announced. Possibly on or around that date? I'm going for 26th or 27th for a poster.

yeah that sounds a lot more likely than in the next few days. and also happens to be my birthday, so wouldn't that be a treat... unless LCD Soundsystem and Sigur Ros clash, in which case it'd be the worst birthday ever

agreed, some area announcements every other day or so between now and 27th ish, then the stage split poster during that week.

I wouldn't read too much into that it's probably someone already on the poster

LCD are doing small venues for their current shows... Sunday night festival closer? If they were playing Gorilla that night I'd be pretty fucking tempted to nip back up for it and then get right back to the festival. Obviously that's no feasible in the real world, but my LCD love cannot be hindered by common sense or the general boundaries of what can reasonably be achieved.

with the now wave thing i was going for the fact that anyone, no matter who it is, can't really be announced for a glasto warm up show till more of the line up is out. but we already knew something was coming by the end of the month

Came to work this morning and there were four pages added to this thread...and no progress. That's a lot of speculation. Top work people.

 

I confidently predict it'll be Monday at the earliest now, unless they decide to do the Theatre & Circus (or some other non-music acts) before.

Yeah I'm quoting myself.....

I should probably say I meant I think Friday for a smaller announcement rather than a full line upannouncement. I can't see there being a full line up until end of the month.

I predicted last Tuesday of the month for the main stages but obviously hoping it's sooner. It'll be interesting to see if we get any smaller announcements this week.

I think the Kidz field was the start of the smaller stages (Avalon, Acoustic etc), which in turn leads to some of the bigger stages (Glade, Silver Hayes etc) before the bigger poster with all stages. I'd imagine this will be over the next 2/3 weeks. Set times I think will be much closer to the festival.
